Pressure Drop has announced that their taproom located at 1672 Elmwood Avenue will close at the end of the month. Their last day open will be Sunday, Sept. 29.

While no further details were announced, the brewery said that their beer will still be available at select retailers, beer stores, bottle shops, bars and restaurants around Western New York. Their beer also sees distribution in Rochester, Syracuse and Eastern Pennsylvania.

Pressure Drop made the announcement on their social media:

“To our patrons and friends: It’s with a mix of sadness and gratitude that we announce the closing of our Elmwood Ave pub at the end of September,” the social post read. “We’re thankful for the community that made our pub a special place to gather, have a great meal, and of course, enjoy a beer or three. We’re hoping to see you again before our last day on Sunday, September 29. And don’t worry—you’ll still find Pressure Drop beer at your local merchants, bars, and restaurants after that. Stay tuned for some fun stuff we have planned over the next few weeks. Let’s spend this time catching up and making new memories over a cold pint of Sticky Trees!”

Pressure Drop opened their Elmwood Avenue location in March of 2022. The location serves Pressure Drop beers on tap as well in cans and bottles to go, New York state spirits, wine, and cider, along with a food menu consisting of shareable plates like sliders and loaded fries, as well as brunch on the weekend.

The brewery announced in July of 2023 that they were for sale. The sale includes their production space at 65 Vandalia Street and the brewpub, including furnishings and equipment. Visit pressuredropbrewers.com/news for more information.
