FIFCO USA, parent-company to Labatt USA and Genesee Brewing, announced that Piotr Jurjewicz will be promoted to Chief Executive Officer for FIFCO USA. He was previously Chief Marketing Officer. Jurjewicz will succeed Rich Andrews, who recently resigned from his role to take on a new opportunity that will allow him to live closer to family. Jurjewicz brings 20 years of global beer industry experience to his new role as CEO.
“Over the last two years, under Rich’s leadership, a new vision and strategy were created focused on fully leveraging FIFCO USA’s top brands in the portfolio, improving revenue management, creating a simplified and more effective organizational structure, and delivering a value-based approach that has resulted in consecutive years of record results,” said Ramón Mendiola, chief executive officer, FIFCO. “We are appreciative of Rich’s leadership and achievements. We wish him the best.
“With Rich leaving, we have selected one of the company’s strongest and most successful leaders to move the company forward,” said Mendiola. “Piotr has more than two decades of beer industry experience. He is a well-respected leader who has made substantial contributions to our success. We are excited to have him take over the helm of our U.S. operations.”
Jurjewicz joined FIFCO USA three years ago and most recently led the brand team as Chief Marketing Officer. Prior to joining FIFCO USA, Jurjewicz spent two decades at SAB Miller, where he held executive marketing and leadership roles across Europe and Latin America. He earned his MBA from Nottingham Trent University in the United Kingdom and WSB University in Poland. His undergraduate degree is from the University of Poznan in Poland. He has also pursued ongoing education at Harvard Business School and IMD Business School.
“I’m excited to lead FIFCO USA’s strategy that will ultimately benefit our most important stakeholders – our employees, wholesaler partners, customers and communities,” said Jurjewicz. “Together, we will continue to create value, momentum and pride in our organization.”
Andrews and Jurjewicz, along with the FIFCO USA executive leadership team, will work together over the coming weeks to ensure a smooth transition.
