WNY Beer Trail has officially launched its 2027 Trail Pass, featuring 78 locations, including breweries, meaderies, taprooms, and restaurants, all offering buy-one-get-one-free deals, savings on flights, and more.
WNY Beer Trail founder Tom Whitmarsh said the ethos of the WNY Trail Pass is simple: get more people out into the community, visiting local businesses, drinking and eating local, which, given the slate of closures in the scene lately, isn’t exactly a bad thing.
“The pass is designed to encourage people to get out, explore, discover new and familiar places and support the local craft beverage businesses that make our region such a great place to live and visit,” WNY Beer Trail’s Tom Whitmarsh said. “The goal is simple: give people a reason to visit places they may have never tried before, while also giving them a chance to revisit some old favorites and save money along the way.”
This year features new venue additions such as Pearl Street, Bloomfield’s Pub and Glen Park Tavern, along with official listings for venues that joined the Trail Pass partway through last year, buy one, get one free deals, savings on flights and more, a new look with full color graphics for each location, return of monthly giveaways, beginning in January, and more.
“We’re excited to have three all-new locations in this year’s pass, including Pearl Street Grill & Brewery, Bloomfield’s Pub, and Glen Park Tavern,” Whitmarsh said. “In addition, locations that joined midway through 2026 now have their own official listings in the pass. These include Local Hollow Brewing, which took over the existing Shalooby Loofer Brewing location, as well as The Nickel Plate, The Rock Kitchen & Bar, Marlboro Kitchen & Bar, Libation Station, Blue Bull Tavern, and Wingnutz on Millersport. We’re excited to have all of these outstanding businesses join the Trail.”
You can order your booklet, or get the mobile version, along with other WNY Beer Trail merchandise, at www.wnybeertrail.com for $35, and in person at Buffalo Gift Emporium. The 2027 Trail Pass is valid through the end of next year.
“The paper version is especially popular as a gift and gives people something tangible to take with them as they explore the Trail, while the mobile version offers the convenience of having it right on their phone,” Whitmarsh said.
You can also still pick up a 2026 Trail Pass, which is good through the end of the year, for $10 online and at Buffalo Gift Emporium.
“We’ve been doing this for several years now, and what I enjoy most is seeing people use the Pass as an excuse to explore their own backyard. There are so many great breweries and craft beverage businesses across WNY, and the Trail Pass is really about getting people out there to experience them and support local,” he said.
