The Beer of Summer Nearly Sold Out: Last Call for Genesee Ruby Red Kolsch and Tropical Pineapple Kolsch

Genesee Specialty Ruby Red Kolsch, the unofficial beer of summer, had another record year as the #1 selling flavored beer in New York State. And, there’s only a short time left to find them in stores this year!

This summer, the beloved Ruby Red Kolsch was joined by Genesee’s new Tropical Pineapple Kolsch. These Genesee Specialty beers have become the summer staple for beer lovers across the state. Brewed in Rochester by Genesee’s Head Brewmaster Matt James, both varieties of kölsch offer a crisp, bright-golden ale with a bready malt body and a mild hop bitterness that complement the perfect addition of unique fruit flavors. Ruby Red Kolsch is Upstate New York’s best-selling flavored beer of the summer since 2019.

Tropical Pineapple Kolsch officially joined the Genesee Specialty family this year, hitting store shelves in May. The refreshing tropical-style kölsch beer has received a lot of love across the state in the last three months. Both varieties are available for the end of the season with one more batch shipping to stores this week.

Ruby Red Kolsch and Tropical Pineapple Kolsch are available across Upstate NY in 12-packs of 12-ounce cans, featuring familiar yellow and teal packaging and the beer’s beloved mascot, Captain Kolsch.
