Today, Buffalo FieriCon is turning North Buffalo into Flavortown as participants of the event march their way down Hertel Avenue dressed as TV Chef Guy Fieri.
This year, the FieriCon Bar Crawl is helping to raise awareness and funds for Feedmore WNY. All participating bars and restaurants will donate a portion of the money from the event towards the organization. Those include Gramma Mora’s, Sterling, Lloyd and Moor Room.
In addition to the crawl, Candyman Pizza, Mike & Pop’s, 40 Thieves, Doc Sullivan’s, Hartman’s Distillery and Resurgence Brewing will be participating by offering a food or drink special with a portion of those proceeds also going toward FeedMore.
In honor of the special event, Resurgence has created a signature beer, GuyPA, a 5.8% Buffalo-style IPA. It’s hazy with a nice bitter punch that adds a layer of complexity perfect for food pairing. Expect light fruit notes up front, a solid body, and a linger that keeps your pallet thinking. You can find GuyPA at Moor Room, Sterling Tap and Wurst.
FieriCon is free, dog friendly to all and no registration is required. The event crew will be posted at the front lawn of St. Margaret’s Church to help guide guests and answer any questions.
