Wayland Brewing Introduces New Lagers, Lukr Side Pull Taps

Orchard Park’s Wayland Brewing are focusing on their lagers with the release of Foray Czech Pale Lager and Ember Czech Amber Lager. Foray, brewed with heritage pilsner malt from Czech Moravia and Czech-grown Saaz hops, features a mildly sweet, crisp bready malt character and floral hops, while Ember has a little bit of honey-like sweetness but is highlighted by notes of toasted bread crust and a hint of caramel. Both beers are available in 12oz. 6-pack cans, as well as on tap on Wayland’s new Lukr beer faucets, which help bring out all of the beer’s character and produce a dense, wet foam cap.  Both are served in a traditional 16oz. Czech mug.

For their latest in-house collaboration, Larkin’s Magic Bear Beer Cellar is teaming up with Williamsville’s One-Eyed Cat Brewing. The result is Binturong (I’ll save you a Google search – a Binturong is a bearcat), a 3.8% English style Ordinary Bitter that’s malt forward with a touch of floral and grassy hops. The beer will be available at Magic Bear on January 26 (5-7pm). For the release, Magic Bear will also be tapping a number of other One-Eyed Cat beers.
