12 Gates Brewing to Open New Taproom in Ellicottville

12 Gates Brewing has announced plans to open a second location this fall, 12 Gates of EVL at 14 Washington Street in Ellicottville. The brewery says they chose EVL because it has become “a vibrant community with a thirst for craft beer with an adventurous lifestyle.” The 12 Gates Jeep Club holds bi-annual Trail Rides just outside of town as well. “We’ve seen a lot of support for our beer in the area and we’re excited to share an even wider selection with the visitors,” Tom Kirchmeyer, one of the co-founders of 12 Gates, says.

12 Gates is also set to release a new fruited sour, Sour Ales From The Crypt, a 6% sour that combines tart apples with a hint of cinnamon. The release party will feature live music from River City Strings at 8pm. Sour Ales From the Crypt will be available on draft and in 16oz. 4-packs to-go. Look for it on the shelves of your favorite craft beer retailer soon.
