Steelbound to Open New Location in Williamsville
Steelbound Brewery & Distillery, who currently have taprooms in Dunkirk, Ellicottville and Springville, are planning to expand their operations once again with a new location in Williamsville. They have signed a new lease at 5195 Main Street, currently inhabited by seafood restaurant Hooked, who have opted to not renew. Pending plans call for the addition of an outdoor patio, and the site will offer its own beer and liquor, as well as a restaurant menu featuring American-Northern Indian fusion created by the chef at its Dunkirk location inside Clarion Hotel Conference Center., according to founding partner William Bursee. Steelbound is also currently constructing a new location just outside Las Vegas.
Twin Petrels Seltzer Co. To Close at Year’s End
Twin Petrels Seltzer Co., located at 1250 Niagara Street, has announced plans to close at the end of the year. “Running a hospitality-based business is a major undertaking, full of glimmering moments and also difficulties,” Twin Petrels said. “From the small business owners who we have collaborated with us, to the staff, and the guests who have shared our love of seltzers, I cannot thank you enough for celebrating and sharing this experience with us,” owner Katrina Piechowicz said in a Facebook post. Regular business hours will continue through the end of the month.
Ring in 2024 With a Fresh Pint at These Local Breweries
Mystic Hills Brewing – Live music from DuoPayazzo (4-6pm), $2 off dirty martinis and sparkling cans all day. They will also be serving Nathan K Extra Brut by the glass and will debut their new Brut IPA, which was brewed with Simcoe, Centennial, and Motueka hops, and finished with a French yeast strain that is bred to make beer dry, crisp, and with hints of citrus.
Community Beer Works – Live DJ sets from KatieBKind (9-11:30pm) and Chad Lock (11:30pm-1:30am). VIP tickets ($85) include open bar from 9pm-1am (includes beer, cider, wine, liquor, High Noon), pizza and wings, complimentary champagne toast at midnight, and general admission ($25) tickets include first drink, pizza and wings, and complimentary champagne toast at midnight. Resurgence Brewing – Open bar includes full lineup of beer, wine and liquor, buffet-style food stations, live set from DJ Wrapid and light set up, photo station, dancing, Golden Keg drop, and more. Rusty Nickel Brewing – Ring in 2024 with Rusty Nickel’s ’24k Gold New Year’s Eve Party, which features food, drinks, and music with friends and family. GA tickets include 3.5 hour open bar (8:30pm-midnight), buffet and desserts, DJ set from Sensational Sounds (8:30pm- 12:30am), themed drink menu, party poppers, noise makers and festive favors, photo booth, champagne toast at midnight, prize for Best Dressed, Keg Drop, fireworks, sparklers, and more. 42 North Brewing – Swing in the New Year with 42 North with live music from Swing Buffalo (8-9pm) and Skiffle Minstrels (9pm). Bring your own snacks, prize will be awarded for the best table, and there will be a complimentary champagne toast at midnight. After 9pm, it’s $10 at the door. 8pm.
Hofbrauhaus Buffalo – Hofbrauhaus’ Midnight in Munich will feature live music from Die Haus Band (4-7pm), complimentary beer toast and countdown at 6pm when midnight strikes in Munich. After that, there will be a live set from DJ Stix, and free champagne toast at midnight. The event will be 21+ starting at 8pm. No cover charge. New York Beer Project – Ring in the New Year at New York Beer Project as they bring New Year’s Eve Time Square to Western New York. Wayland Brewing – Wayland’s 1st annual New Year’s Eve in both the event hall and taproom with live music from That 80’s Hair Band.
