One-Eyed Cat Brewing Launches New Fundraising Campaign
One-Eyed Cat Brewing, award-winning homebrewers who are looking to open brewery in Western New York, have launched a new online fundraiser with a goal of $5,000. Monies raised will go towards the purchase of a brewing system. Donation tiers include $1,000 (invite to VIP tasting prior to grand opening), $500 (One-Eyed Cat Brewing LED sign), $200 (One-Eyed Cat Brewing tap handle), $100 (branded pint glass and t-shirt), $50 (wall of thanks and a free beer at our brewery). Community Beer Works to Release 2 IPAs for 9th Anniversary
To celebrate their ninth anniversary, Community Beer Works are re-releasing Highly Suspicious, their annual collaboration with Prison City Pub & Brewery, as well as Even More Highly Suspicious IPA, on April 20 (3pm). Highly Suspicious is brewed with grilled pineapple and Citra, El Dorado and Galaxy hops, and Even More Highly Suspicious is brewed with more grilled pineapple and toasted coconut. Cans (limited amounts of Even More) are available at the brewery.
Peanut Butter Strawberry Raspberry Sour Coming to West Shore
West Shore Brewing will release the next entry into their Mayhem Sour Series, No. 6, a peanut butter, strawberry and raspberry sour, on May 1 (12pm). This sour is brewed to emulate a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and is loaded with raspberries and strawberries, and then is blended with peanut butter. 4-packs available for presale, and a very small amount of draft will be on tap as well.
Big Inlet Brewing Plans First Ever Can Release
Mayville’s Big Inlet Brewing will release their first ever canned beer, their flagship Mill Stream Cream Ale, this weekend. This 6.1% beer is very drinkable with a touch of sweetness on the finish. “This brew has been one of our mainstays. It’s an ultra-smooth and approachable beer, a true blue-collared ale, and it seems fitting that this brew highlights our first can release,” the brewery says of Mill Stream Cream. 4-packs are $13 (limit of two per customer).
New Pressure Drop Hazy IPA to Celebrate 4/20
The hazies keep coming at Pressure Drop Brewing, the latest being Cross Faded, an 8% West Coast – East Coast hybrid IPA. Cross Faded is brewed with all of your favorite old school Left Coast hops for classic catty and skunky notes, mixed with some more modern East Coast haze. Cans are available at the brewery.
Blackbird Cider Works Lakeside Loganberry Returns
An annual warm weather favorite at Blackbird Cider Works, Lakeside Loganberry Cider, returns on April 24 (12pm) at their Lake Ontario tasting room and The Buffalo Cider Hall. Loganberry is a semi-dry hard cider brewed with loganberry notes. Cases and 4-packs will be available.
Flying Bison to Drop New “Electric” Sour This Weekend
On April 24, Flying Bison is releasing Electric Chihuahua, a kettle sour brewed with lime, sea salt, and agave. Pixie Mamas Rescue will also be at the brewery to host a “Running of the Chihuahuas” race at 4pm. Any and all Chihuahuas (and their humans) are invited to participate. Electric Chihuahua will be available in 4-pack 16oz. cans. “This kettle soured beer is dressed with lime zest, Mexican sea salt and organic agave syrup” said Tim Herzog, founder of Flying Bison Brewing. “It is a beer version of a refreshing margarita. The lime is bright and refreshing, just in time for summer drinking weather.”
