Hamburg Brewing Kolsch is Official Beer of Erie County Fair
The official beer of the 2021 Erie County Fair is a German-style Kolsch from Hamburg Brewing and home brewer Rick Felser. Erie County Fair Kolsch is a light, crisp and refreshing German-style Kolsch brewed with noble hops and light pilsner malt. The Erie County Fair Kolsch is only available at the fairgrounds. It is available anywhere that beer is sold in the fairgrounds on draft.
Kegs & Eggs: Tiki Style Coming to Resurgence Brewing
Kegs & Eggs, Resurgence’s celebration of experimental brews, is hitting the beach on August 22 (11am). Flight 1 features Tiki Torch Pils (Wine Barrel Aged Pilsner with lime sea salt/prickly pear), Numb Thanks To Rum (Rum BA Pain Killer Sour), Chef’s Kiss (Rum BA Key Lime Pie Sour) and Half Beer, Half Lava (Dragon Fruit Caruba Sour), while Flight 2 has King Kong Coconut Stout (Sherry BA Coconut Banana Fudge Imperial Stout), Paloma Pils (Tequila BA Pilsner with grapefruit/lime/agave nectar), Seltz Up Dude (Blue Hawaiian Seltzer) and Saison de Sangria (White wine BA Blood Orange Saison with grapes/lemon/lime/cherry puree). There will also be casks of Mint Lime IPA and Blueberry IPA.
New Windy Brew DIPA to Benefit National Deer Association, Venison Donation Coalition
Windy Brew has again teamed with the Pertnear Outdoors Podcast, this time on Dirt Nap Double IPA, a beer brewed to benefit the National Deer Association and Venison Donation Coalition. The new DIPA will be released on August 22 (1pm) at Windy Brew and will feature games, raffles, a WNY Trophy buck showcase and more.
Community Beer Works to Release New Foeder-Aged Ale
CBW partnered with the Lexington Co-Op to celebrate their 50th anniversary with Strawberry Gold, a golden ale brewed with 800 pounds of strawberries from Orchard Dale Fruits in Waterport. The beer, which marks Buffalo’s first foeder-aged beer, features layers of fruit, tartness, oak, dryness and a subtle funk. 12oz. four-packs will be available on August 20 at Lexington Co-op stores and at CBW’s taproom, along with a limited amount on draft at CBW.
Thin Man to Release Fifth Anniversary NEIPA
While they weren’t able to have a proper party this year, Thin Man is celebrating their fifth anniversary with the release of Fifth Anniversary NEIPA, a hazy IPA brewed with oats and hopped with Citra, Strata and Excelsior for notes of ripe peach, orange, melon and berries. Available at all Thin Man taprooms on August 20.
12 Gates to Release Skool Daze Hazy Double IPA
School is back in session at 12 Gates Brewing with the release of Skool Daze, a 8.5% Hazy DIPA aged on milk sugar and double dry-hopped with Cascade and Citra hops, on August 24. Skool Daze will be available on tap and in 16oz. 4-packs/cases to-go. Look for it on the shelves and menus wherever great beer is sold coming soon.
