Woodcock Brothers XPA Series Returns With Number 17

After spending a full year on the sidelines, Woodcock Brothers Brewing XPA is set to make its return this week with v.17, which will go on sale December 14 at both locations (12pm). This batch was brewed with Galaxy, Cashmere, Simcoe and Meridian hops and looks and tastes like an orange / tangerine creamsicle. “We’re super, SUPER stoked to unleash our new brewer’s take on this classic Woodcock offering,” the brewery says. “We hope you like it as much as we do.” Woodcock last released XPA 16 back on December 22, 2018.

Experience the Sweet & Sour Side of Beer at Pizza Plant

Cookies For a Cause, Special Beer Release at Resurgence Brewing

Resurgence Brewing will host the Fifth Annual Cookie For a Cause, which benefits Matt Urban Human Services, on December 14 (1pm). A $10 donation buys a mixed box of cookies and, if you bring cookies to exchange (3 dozen minimum), a $5 donation buys a mixed box. $5 cookie grab bags will also be available. Resurgence will also release Another Caucasian, Gary, a homebrew recipe from Scott McMillan, which won the People’s Choice Award at the Dude Hates Cancer competition this summer. The beer is a blonde ale conditioned on whole bean coffee, cocoa nibs and Kahlua-flavored coffee.

Holiday Beer and Christmas Cookies on Display at Pearl Street

When you reach for a Christmas cookie this holiday season, put down the milk and grab a beer. Explore the marriage of cookies and beer at the sixth annual Christmas Cookie and Beer Party at Pearl Street Brewery on December 17 (5pm). Taking place downstairs in Brawler’s Deli, the event pairs Christmas cookies with local holiday beer, including offerings from West Shore Brewing, Community Beer Works, Pearl Street, Rusty Nickel Brewing and Pressure Drop Brewing this year. Bring in a dozen homemade Christmas cookies and get a free flight! Pints are available for sale after your free flight.

12 Gates Brewing Celebrates Their Four Year Anniversary

12 Gates is turning four and are pulling out all of the stops in honor of the special occasion on December 12 (11:30am). In addition to the traditional bottle release of their Grave Concerns Imperial Stout (22oz bottles, 200 available), the brewery is also dropping a pair of newly canned brews – Wicked Tripa Triple IPA (clocking in at a healthy 12%) and Fire Emoji New England IPA. Both are available in 16oz. 4-pack cans. The Rightly So will take the stage at 12:30pm, followed by A Man In Black: The Johnny Cash Experience at 4pm and Farrow at 8pm.
