There are a number of options if you’re looking to don your best Halloween costume and grab a fresh locally brewed pint this year – King-O-Ween Halloween Party at Southern Tier Brewing (October 30, 12pm), Halloween Party at Windy Brew (October 30, 5pm), Halloween Bash at Woodcock Brothers Brewing (Wurlitzer) and Halloween Party at Wilson (October 30, 7pm), Haunted Haus Halloween at Hofbrauhaus Buffalo (October 30, 9pm), The Beer Keep Halloween Bash  (October 30, 9pm), 90s Rise Again Halloween at Resurgence Brewing (October 30, 9pm), First Line Brewing’s Howloween Party (October 30, 7pm), Halloween Bash with Bear the Bronze at 12 Gates (October 30, 7pm), Halloween @ Hamburg Brewing (October 30, 7pm) and live music at Thin Man on October 29 and 30.

Pressure Drop Brewing to Open New Taproom on Elmwood

Pressure Drop Brewing are planning to open a new taproom at the former Nye Park Tavern, located at 1672 Elmwood Avenue. The brewery hopes to open their taproom during the first quarter of 2022 with a full kitchen. While most of the brewing operations will continue to take place at the Barrel Factory in the Old First Ward, future plans call for a small brewhouse at the location, which will produce small batch beers exclusive to Elmwood. Pressure Drop beer will also continue to be available at the Lakeward Spirits taproom. Since 2017, the brewery has called the Barrel Factory home.

Santora’s 1927 Brew House to Tap First 6 Beer Releases

On October 30, Santora’s 1927 Brewhouse are tapping the first six beers brewed on their new brewhouse at their Walden Galleria location. For $10 (Saturday only, $15 regular), you’ll get a flight of Seneca St. Amber, an easy drinking amber ale, Cran-Apple Wheat, brewed with local apple cider and cranberry, Blueberry Wheat Pilot #1, which features fresh blueberry flavor and aromas, NEIPA Pilot #2, a hazy with aromas of candied fruit and tropical citrus, Galleria Gold, an easy drinking golden ale with light floral-spicy hops and Main & Tupper IPA, an American IPA with huge citrus, tropical and pine notes.

Belt Line, Bolton Landing Are Peepin’ Leaves Once Again

Peepin’ Leaves New England IPA, an annual hazy collaboration between Belt Line Brewery and Lake George’s Bolton Landing Brewing, returns on October 29 (12pm). This heavily dry-hopped IPA features full notes of resin, pine, tropical fruit and peach. This will be available on draft and in 4-pack cans for you to take home. Additionally, Belt Line has released a fresh batch of their flagship IPA, First Loop, which is packed with Citra, Mosaic and El Dorado hops. First Loop is also available on draft and in cans.

The Beer Keep Launches New Series, Taste It Thursdays

The Beer Keep is launching a new series, Taste It Thursdays, an educational tasting spotlighting a different brewery. 42 North Brewing is first up on October 28 (6pm). Free tastings will be available of various 42 Below Barrel House products and their 6-year anniversary brew, 2plus4equals6 Pineapple, Banana & Mango Sour IPA, which is packed with pineapple, banana and mango, softened with Milkadamia Macadamia Milk and vanilla and hopped with Azacca and NYS Excelsior hops. The event is free.
