Buffalo Brewing acquires former Schreiber Brewing Company complex

Buffalo Brewing Company has acquired the former Schreiber Brewing Company, located at 662 Fillmore Ave. In 2019, Buffalo Brewing was awarded $516,000 through Empire State Development. The redevelopment is expected to take three years, and, once completed, the complex will house their production facility, tasting room and restaurant, a Buffalo Brewseum in the old Schreiber offices, and warehousing for local brewing tank importer, Ideal Brew Systems, Inc. Buffalo Brewing’s current taproom at 314 Myrtle Ave. is set to reopen in mid-June for full retail operations.

Rusty Nickel Brewing to Celebrate Sixth Anniversary

Rusty Nickel is throwing one of the parties of the summer for their sixth anniversary on June 5 (12pm). Expect live music from Wacko Fest, Undercover, Heart of the Dog and more, summer-themed food, and new and old beers, including Not You Granpa’s Cream Ale, Ebenezer IPA, Slice O’ Havens, Vanilla Chai Tea Milk Stout, Oatmeal Cookie Ale, Honey Nut Beerio’s, Belgian Dubbel, Double Double This This DIPA, True Pils Fan Pilsner, Exsqueeze Me? Lime Pils and Pilsberry Blue Boi Blueberry Pils. And for the seltzer fans, Mojito, PB&J and Blackberry Lime will be available. Reservations can be made online.

Trio of New Releases at Thin Man This Friday

Another week, another three new releases at Thin Man Brewery. On June 4 (4pm), the brewery will release Mecha Boodle III, a heavily fruited sour brewed with blueberry and raspberry, Vibes & Stuff New England IPA, brewed with Citra and experimental hop #13459 for floral notes of tropical fruit and citrus, and Sunny Side Up IPA with Lactose and Orange Pureé, featuring aromas and flavors of sweet orange, grapefruit and dank pine, with a roundness provided by the lactose (draft only). All three beers will be available at all Thin Man taprooms.

Two New Brickyard Brewing Beers Coming This Weekend

Brickyard Brewing is looking to kick start the weekend with the release of Fiji Mermaid, a coconut, pineapple and guava sour, on June 4 (4pm)(16oz 4-packs, draft at Brickyard Pub). This summer sour was brewed with flaked oats to provide a creamy mouthfeel balanced by a tart finish and the most fruit they’ve ever put into a beer. They will follow that with the release of Trail Ale, a copper ale with electrolytes brewed with organic malt, malted oats and spelt, on June 5 at the Lewiston Artisan Market.

Spotted Octopus Brewing Launches Crowdfunding Campaign

Spotted Octopus Brewing, who is looking to refurbish 41 Edward St. in Allentown, have launched an IndieGoGo campaign to help fund the renovations. Perks for donating range from $10 – $2,000 and include branded pint glasses, shirts and hoodies, growler fills for a year and the chance to name and brew your own beer.
