And in the blink of an eye we are just about one-third of the way through Buffalo Beer Week. Time flies, you know? There’s some fun stuff to get wrapped up in on BBW’s first Sunday, and if watching Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills open up the home half of their schedule again the Los Angeles Chargers, there are plenty of places you can watch the game while drinking an uber-fresh local brew.

The Brewers Tailgate at 716 sounds like a hell of a lot of fun and there’s something about watching the Bills at Buffalo Brewing on their new screen that sounds just so cool – huddling inside the brewery to watch the game with a cold beer, then spending commercial breaks outside in the beer garden. But I digress.

Here are the highlights of Buffalo Beer Week Day 3:

A host of Buffalo brewers will gather at 716 Food and Sport for the inaugural Buffalo Brewers Tailgate, who will take over the taps and watch the Buffalo Bills plays the Los Angeles Chargers. Head down to 716, watch Josh Allen’s first start on 716’s massive video screen and hang out and talk shop with Buffalo’s best and brightest beer minds. 1pm.

Both Pizza Plant locations (Canalside and Transit) are offering 30 percent off all of their bottles and cans. Yes, anything on the list! And, if you spend $20, you’ll receive a free glass. All day.

Hamm & Fattey’s will host winning homebrewer Ian Calder and his Alec’s Amber Ale, which was brewed by Calder at Windy Brew in Strykersville. Grab a pint of the award-winning brew and meet the brewer himself. 6pm.

Gordon Biersch is offering $8 growler fills all day, as well as $3 pints (4-7pm) and Tyler Smilo is performing at Five & 20 (1-4pm) as well.

Elsewhere during Buffalo Beer Week, as has become customary, Buffalo Brewing Company will be open every day and even have a new projection screen to watch Bills games on Sundays. Pearl Street and Lafayette Brewing are offering $3.50 pints all Beer Week long, and score $2 off pints at Pizza Plant and $4 pints at Riverworks Brewing with coupons you can find in the official Beer Week book.

These next 10 days are about beer yes, but above all else, drink responsibly and be safe. If you need a ride home, try Lyft, Uber or Liberty Cab’s Ride Local. There are plenty of options to both drink and get home responsibly.
