Pizza Plant Presents Annual Tim’s Beer Show Tasting Event
On October 20 (7pm), New York’s longest running beer event, Tim’s Beer Show, returns to Pizza Plant Transit. The curated tasting experience, hosted by Flying Bison’s mustachioed beer wizard Tim Herzog, features Herzog hosting a unique journey through beer, from light to dark to extreme as you sample, discuss and learn about beer along the way. Tickets are $40 and include a tasting glass to keep, Pizza Plant breadsticks to soak up all that beer – 12 4oz. samples of world-class craft beers. Tickets are available at Eventbrite.
Blackbird Cider to Host Ghost Lantern Cider Festival
On October 16 (12pm), Blackbird Cider Works are welcoming guests to their Barker home for their Ghost Lantern Cider Festival. The event will feature Blackbird’s full portfolio of ciders, as well as42 North Brewing’s beer, who will be on site with their beer van pouring their wares. For food, Parker’s Pit BBQ will be serving BBQ. The festivals namesake, Ghost Lantern Spiced Cider, is a semi-sweet apple cider brewed with autumn spices and gentle notes of warming ghost pepper in the finish. It’s balanced and easy drinking.
New York Beer Project to Host Halloween Silent Disco
New York Beer Project is celebrating spooky season with a Halloween Silent Disco on October 30 (8:30pm). The night-long dance party will feature your own switchable headset, a Halloween costume contest and a full Halloween-themed beer lineup featuring Drunkin’ Punkin’, Frankensteiner, Milky Way Stout and more. Belt Line Brewery to Host Oktoberfest Celebration
Join Belt Line Kitchen & Brewery on October 16 (12pm) for a celebration of all things German. They will have German music and food specials in addition to a number of German-style beer options, including a pair of kolschs, one being their Farm to Tap: Honey Kolsch, and their Festbier, which is clean and crisp with the perfect malt backbone. They will also host a Stein Hoist at 3pm to win a Belt Line gift card.
