Hazy Crush, New York Beer Project’s flagship IPA at the Orchard Park Beer Lodge, took home a gold medal this past weekend at the Great American Beer Festival, the largest nationwide beer festival in the country.

This past winter, Hazy Crush also won a gold medal at the NYS Craft Brewer’s Competition, leading NYBP owners Kelly and Kevin Krupski, and the NYBP Brew Team of Jason Crossett (Director of Brewing) and John Hyman (NYBP OP head brewer) to the decision to make Hazy Crush IPA available at all NYBP breweries in New York.

At the Great American Beer Festival, Hazy Crush was awarded the Gold Medal in the experimental IPA category, making New York Beer Project one of the three gold medal award winners in New York State.

“I am super happy to bring home a gold from GABF,” Hyman says. “I’ve put a ton of time into developing and brewing hazy IPAs over the last decade and have been all over the country always seeking out the highest rated and most sought after hazy’s and always come home feeling like ours are right up there. And to win two gold medals with Hazy Crush this year, both at NYS and at GABF, is a good feeling.”

Hazy Crush IPA is available at NYBP Lockport, Victor, and Orchard Park.
