To celebrate the start of hockey season, Pearl Street Grill & Brewery is debuting a new festival, Hocktoberfest, on Thursday, October 5. The festival will feature an outdoor stage and offer a full evening of music, fall-themed beers, and special appearances to celebrate the great game of hockey.
Headlining Hocktoberfest will be the world’s only hockey-rock band, The Zambonis. The Zambonis, having played major events including the NHL All Star Game and the NCAA Frozen Four, will bring their high-energy hockey themed songs to Buffalo for the first time since 2003. The Zambonis will also perform a few Buffalo-themed songs, including “Hockey Party(Buffalo Style),” which pays homage to Buffalo’s hockey tradition. Opening up for The Zambonis will be Buffalo’s Captain Tom and the Hooligans, bringing their unique blend of Polka and party to Hocktoberfest.
Hocktoberfest will also feature a line-up of local craft beers and special appearances all evening, including on-air personalities from the national hockey podcast, Spittin’ Chiclets. Beer includes Pearl Street Oktoberfest, Ellicottville Brewing Company Pumpkinville, 42 North Fall Bock, Southern Tier Harvest IPA, and Riverworks Brewing Dominator (cans) and Splashing Pumpkin (cans).
The event will be hosted in the rear lot of the Pearl Street Grill & Brewery with views of the stage from both the Pearl Street lot, as well as the tri-level “New Orleans”- style patios.
Doors open at 4pm with music starting at 5pm and The Zambonis hit the stage at 8pm.
Advance tickets are $20 and are now available at https://hocktoberfestbuffalo.com.
