And then there was Tuesday. Let’s face it – Tuesday’s are usually boring. It’s not quite the middle of the week, not quite the beginning of the week. It’s just a day, normally. Well, not during Buffalo Beer Week, because there’s a number of events to attend tonight. I know, by now you’re probably sick of me saying it, but there is really a lot to do.

From beer education events and trivia to beer pairings and opportunities to meet and talk shop with brewers, the only Tuesday of BBW presents all of those opportunities for you!

Truly learn about beer at Drinking in Style, which takes place at Trocaire College. Brian Barrows, director of Trocaire’s Brewing, Distilling, & Fermentation Science Program, will discuss and offer tastings of beers that have been brewed “to style.” The event is free. 7pm.

Lafayette Brewing Co. are holding their Fourth Annual Oktoberfest, featuring a meet and greet with Lafayette’s brewing team. Enjoy $3.50 pints as well. 5pm.

Rusty Nickel Brewing is holding a one-of-a-kind pairing with the experts, as they guide you through an in-depth and educational food and beer deconstruction and recipe development. Your ticket includes a meet and greet with RNBC Head Brewer Dave Johnson, along with Kitchen Manager Marcus Hunger and Owner Nate Springer of the Ebenezer Ale House along with four courses, four beer tastings, and a specialty beer glass. 7:30pm.

Head Brewer Paul Alessi of Five & 20 Spirits & Brewing will be at Hamm & Fattey’s in Hamburg sharing his story as well as some of his brews. 6pm.

New York Beer Project presents ‘A Spectacular 4 Course Magical Beer Pairing Evening.’ Join NYBP for an unforgettable sensory experience that pairs food, craft beer and magic, featuring NYBP Executive Chef Jesse Billinghurst, Head Brewer Jason Crossett, and Magician Garrett Thomas. 6:30pm.

Also, 12 Gates Brewing are offering $2 off all growler fills in their taproom (4-6pm), Busted Stuff is performing at Gordon Biersch (6pm), the Buffalo Beer Goddesses are holding a special trivia night at Flying Bison during Food Truck Tuesday (6:30pm), Steelbound Brewery is taking over the taps at World of Beer (7pm), and there is also trivia at Gene McCarthy’s (7pm) and Schnitzel and Co. (7:30pm).

Elsewhere during Buffalo Beer Week, as has become customary, Buffalo Brewing Company will be open every day and even have a new projection screen to watch Bills games on Sundays. Pearl Street is offering $3.50 pints all Beer Week long, and score $2 off pints at Pizza Plant and $4 pints at Riverworks Brewing with coupons you can find in the official Beer Week book.

Keep it locked to www.buffalobeerweek.com for more daily blog posts regarding all of the beers, all of the events and all of the happenings going on throughout Buffalo Beer Week. To see all the events that are happening over the next 10 days and to read the official Buffalo Beer Week book, visit http://www.buffalobeerweek.com. The theme this year is ‘beer education.’ For more information, please visit Buffaloniagarabrewersassociation.org and Facebook.com/BuffaloNiagaraBrewersAssociation.

These next 10 days are about beer yes, but above all else, drink responsibly and be safe. If you need a ride home, try Lyft, Uber or Liberty Cab’s Ride Local. There are plenty of options to both drink and get home responsibly.
