The start of a new week has arrived, but thank goodness it’s still Buffalo Beer Week. Sure, we are all taking that long walk back into our offices today, but at least you can take solace in the fact that BBW continues to churn with a handful of events and beers tonight for you to enjoy once you punch the clock at the end of the day.

So, if you have a case of the Monday’s, then take a lunch break and head over to Gene McCarthy’s, because Old First Ward Brewing are tapping #Smashtag, their absolutely insanely good New England IPA. As always, this one will not last long, so grab a Beef on Weck and a few pints to help break up the monotony of your workday.

Check out BlackBird Cider Works’ brand new Buffalo Cider Hall at the Buffalo Beer Week Brewer’s Social. This is a great opportunity to stop out and see the new Buffalo Cider Hall as well as their BuffaLocal Beer and Cider draft line-up. 6:30pm.

Certified Cicerone Tom Robson of East Hill Creamery and Chef Jim Gaurino are teaming up to pair the award-winning cheeses of East Hill Creamery with local craft beer from 42 North Brewing, Steelbound, Hamburg Brewing, and Resurgence Brewing at Shango Bistro. Meet the chef, the cheesemaker, and the brewers, taste, and learn. A la carte small plates. $35 (cheese and beer).

Rusty Nickel is holding a special edition of DJ Trivia with special beer trivia questions in honor of Buffalo Beer Week. Bring your team and compete for the top spot. 1st Place, 2nd Place, and 3rd Place teams all win Rusty Nickel Brewing gift cards. 7pm.

Oktoberfest at Murphy Brown’s brings $4 fall seasonal beer goblets and $4 off bratwurst pizzas. New York Beer Project will also be sampling their Triple Crown Imperial Stout at Premier Gourmet (5-7pm).

Elsewhere during Buffalo Beer Week, as has become customary, Buffalo Brewing Company will be open every day and even have a new projection screen to watch Bills games on Sundays. Pearl Street and Lafayette Brewing are offering $3.50 pints all Beer Week long, and score $2 off pints at Pizza Plant and $4 pints at Riverworks Brewing with coupons you can find in the official Beer Week book.

Keep it locked to www.buffalobeerweek.com for more daily blog posts regarding all of the beers, all of the events and all of the happenings going on throughout Buffalo Beer Week. To see all the events that are happening over the next 10 days and to read the official Buffalo Beer Week book, visit http://www.buffalobeerweek.com. The theme this year is ‘beer education.’ For more information, please visit Buffaloniagarabrewersassociation.org and Facebook.com/BuffaloNiagaraBrewersAssociation.

These next 10 days are about beer yes, but above all else, drink responsibly and be safe. If you need a ride home, try Lyft, Uber or Liberty Cab’s Ride Local. There are plenty of options to both drink and get home responsibly.
