Shalooby Loofer Brewing Sets Grand Opening
Western New York’s newest brewery, Shalooby Loofer Brewing, will officially open their doors at 10737 Main Street in Clarence on September 1. The brewery and taproom is located in a converted 3-car garage equipped with a Ruby Pro 1 BBL Electric Brew House. The brewery has announced that they plan to donate a portion of their proceeds to charity with $1 of each pint sold in the tasting room going to benefit buildOn, which will help to support building a school in Nepal. 42 North, Ellicottville Brewing Team to Support EA2EVL Bike Ride
While 42 North Brewing and Ellicottville Brewing are 42 miles apart, they have come together to brew a special New York State Pale Ale to highlight the popular EA2EVL Fondo bike ride, a 42-mile ride that supports the Erie Cattaraugus Rails-to-Trails project. The EA2EVL Pale Ale features 100% New York State ingredients including Excelsior, Cascade, and Centennial hops to deliver a pale ale with tropical flavors. This beer will be available in both taprooms of 42 North and Ellicottville Brewing, as well bars, restaurants, and retailers from East Aurora to Ellicottville. This year’s EA2EVL Fondo will take place on Saturday, September 30.
Resurgence to the Rescue Cans Return, 4 AM in Buffalo Goses Debut
Buffalo’s Top Dog and Coolest Cat will be celebrated at the annual Resurgence to the Rescue pet-friendly party on July 23 (12pm) at Resurgence Brewing. Morty the Cat, last year’s runner up, and Sven the dog, a three time Resurgence to the Rescue winner, are this year’s winners of the Resurgence to the Rescue Pet Photo Contest and will be featured on the Resurgence summer beer cans. Sven’s IPA is a sessionable brew with a crisp and refreshing body and tropical fruit flavors, and Morty’s Loganberry Wit is a traditional Wit style with light fruit esters and hints of Loganberry. Both will be available in 6-packs. Enjoy food, drinks, pet-related vendors, including paw print paints and pet photos by Tailor Mayde Photography and more. A basket raffle will be held to benefit Ten Lives Club and City of Buffalo Animal Shelter.
Resurgence will also debut a pair of collaborations with Auburn’s Prison City Pub & Brewery, 4AM in Buffalo Gose, Strawberry Margarita and Lime Margarita, on July 22 (12pm) at Resurgence in the Park at Delaware Park. They will be available in 4-pack cans to go, as well as in single cans for onsite consumption. The release event will feature games such as Kan Jam and cornhole, as well as a number of other Resurgence Brewing and Prison City beers available in cans.
Jam in the Gardens Concert Fundraiser at Botanical Gardens
Local rock and soul band Farrow will headline Jam in the Gardens at the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens on July 20 (5pm). The fundraiser, to benefit the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens Society Inc., whose mission is to connect people to the natural world through its historic living museum, will feature beer, wine, food trucks, raffles and live music. Curtis Lovell will also perform. Tickets are $50 ($45 for members) and include unlimited beer from local breweries, live music, access to Botanical Gardens conservatory, raffles, giveaways, merchandise, and more. Buffalo Bubble Bar will also be on site.
Thin Man, Elmwood Village Team Up For New Beer Series
For this year’s EVA’s Bidwell Concert Series, Thin Man Brewery and the Elmwood Village Association have collaborated on a new beer, Forever Elmwood West Coast IPA. Sales from the beer will directly benefit the Elmwood Village Association’s summer concert series, a weekly event organized and executed by the EVA, which are free to the public every Tuesday. Forever Elmwood will be available at the Bidwell Concert Series moving forward.
