Resurgence to Close Niagara Street Taproom, Announces Macy’s Place Collab
Resurgence Brewing have announced that they will be closing their Niagara Street taproom in an effort to “focus on other opportunities.” They will be open for one last week, starting on Wednesday, February 3 (4pm-10pm), Thursday, Feb. 4 (4pm-10pm), Friday, Feb. 5 (4pm-10pm), Saturday, Feb. 6 (12pm-10pm), and Sunday, Feb. 7 (12pm-5pm). Let’s all toast to a space we will never forget.
They are also joining Macy’s Place Pizzeria for a beer and pizza party on January 30. In addition to pizza, they will be releasing Maui Wowie Jalapeño Pineapple Lime Lager, a lager conditioned on lime purée, jalapeños & agave syrup, and Super Sour Diesel Strawberry Kiwi Banana Passionfruit Basil Sour, a heavily fruited sour conditioned on strawberry & banana passionfruit, and transferred through house cooked kiwis & basil leaves for an over the top sour. The lager is available on draft and crowlers, while the sour is available on draft and in 4-pack cans.
Rusty Nickel to Host Sixth Annual Sausage Fest
Rusty Nickel Brewing’s 6th Annual Sausage Fest returns January 30. The event features specialty drinks, unique sausage samplings, music, cocoa, and friendly competition, and this year, guests can expect creative charcuterie, traditional sausage varieties, and wild game sausages. The competition is free and open to anyone. Sausages are entered in five categories; Breakfast, Venison/ Wild Game, Freeform (non-cased), Best Sausage, and Best in Show. Pressure Drop’s Struggle Bus DIPA Returns
Struggle Bus Double IPA, a collaboration between Pressure Drop Brewing and Brockport’s Stoneyard Brewing, returns on January 30 (12pm). This 8.5% brew features bright citrus and a grapefruit nose, with notes of mango and papaya on the front end with a skunky and dank base. Its medium bodied with balanced bittering that hangs on the palate. Cans will be available during Pressure Drop’s weekend dock sale at the Barrel Factory.
West Shore Brewing Releases Imperial Banana Cream Pie Stout
Is it a Banana Cream Pie Stout with chocolate icing? Or a Chocolate Milkshake Hefeweizen? Clarence’s West Shore Brewing has released Imperial Banana Cream Pie Stout, an 8% beer that features chocolate stout malt, hefeweizen yeast, extra chocolate and a bit of lactose to create creamy banana cream pie notes. Southern Tier Brewing Drops Nu Haze IPA
Southern Tier’s latest hazy creation, Nu Haze IPA, features citrus and ripe melon notes from Idaho 7 and Mosaic hops. This beer features a take on the no boil brewing process, which allows for the hops to create a soft, juicy experience and no time at all generating bitterness. Nu Haze is available at the brewery, and in 6 and 12 pack 12oz. cans wherever great beer is sold.
