Originally three “limited edition” beers were planned for the New York Beer Project/Perry’s Ice Cream collaboration to brew ice cream inspired beers for a great cause.

The owners of Perry’s Ice Cream and New York Beer Project have announced plans to continue this unique collaboration for the entire year, with the goal of raising $10,000 for Buffalo Woman and Children’s Hospital by next year’s Memorial Day weekend. So far, $3,765 has been raised and donated to date with just these three initial brews.

The newest beer in the Perry’s inspired lineup has been tapped – a Pumpkin Pie Porter, with the ice cream flavors or pumpkin, vanilla, and graham cracker, although no ice cream was actually used to brew the beer. NYBP Brew Master Jason Crossett used a combination of malts and adjuncts of fresh vanilla beans, and pumpkin puree to suggest the flavors in the ice cream.

As with the previous three beers in the collaboration, $1 from each pint sold at New York Beer Project Lockport location will be donated to the hospital.
