Resurgence at Canalside to Open This Weekend

Resurgence at Canalside, Resurgence Brewing’s newest seasonal waterfront destination, will hold a soft opening this weekend. They will be open May 10-12 and May 17-19 from 4-8 p.m. on Friday and 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Starting May 24, Resurgence at Canalside will be open 7 days a week from 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. There will also be a grand opening event held at the new location on Monday, June 3, from 4-7 p.m. In addition to Resurgence food and beer, the new location will feature live music, outdoor games, and sports leagues, alongside the Buffalo Waterfront’s regularly scheduled events.

NYBP Beer Lodge to Open This June in Orchard Park

The NYBP Beer Lodge, New York Beer Project’s upcoming Orchard Park location, will officially open its doors to the public on June 14 (11am). The new 24,500 square foot lodge-style location will feature a number of different themed spaces, including The Buffalo Room, The Brewer’s Club, The NYBP Grove, and 4 event spaces. The Lodge will first open on June 12 for the NYBP Mug Club VIP Party, and if you’d like to attend, but are not currently a member, you can join here. The special night will include full tours, exclusive access, and more.

Kleinhans Music Hall’s Rhythm & Brews Returns June 13

Kleinhans’s annual fundraiser, Rhythm and Brews, returns June 13 (6pm-9pm). Proceeds will benefit Kleinhans Music Hall’s programming. The event will feature craft beer and cider from 42 North, Ellicottville Brewing, Southern Tier, Big Ditch, 12 Gates, Community Beer Works, Flying Bison, BlackBird Cider, and more, as well as food from Oliver’s, Britesmith, Creekview Restaurant, and Marcato by Oliver’s. General admission tickets are $45, but a limited number of VIP tickets are available for $85, which include early admission, first tastings, and reserved table seating. Hamburg Brewing to Expand Current Taproom Space

Hamburg Brewing is expanding their current taproom space with the addition of a new space and additional seating inside their former train room. The new space will be bigger than the existing taproom, both of which are located in a 17,000-square-foot building on the brewery’s Hamburg campus. As a result of the new expansion project, the brewery expects to add at least another five employees to their 60-person workforce. The expansion is expected to be completed in mid-June.

Wicked Warren’s To Take Over Former Jamestown Brewing

Warren, Pennsylvania brewery Wicked Warren’s is moving into the former Jamestown Brewing, located inside the former Jamestown Renaissance Center at 119 West 3rd St. in Jamestown. Tentative plans call for a traditional taproom space with a bar and seating on the first level, a stage for live music, large dining room and a speakeasy on the second floor and banquet/event space on the third floor. There will be onsite brewing and a food menu consisting of wood-fired pizzas, burgers, sandwiches, poutine and weekly specials. Wicked Warren’s will move into the space this month and plans to hire approximately 30 people.

New Beer Bar/Bottle Shop Coming to City of Lockport

A new beer bar and bottle shop will soon call the City of Lockport home as the Lock Tender has announced plans to open at 4 Lock St. The new space will feature a 12-seat bar and indoor seating for around 100 patrons, as well as outdoor space for games such as cornhole and live music. There won’t be a kitchen onsite. Ownership expects to offer New York state craft beer, wine, cider and mead, both on tap and bottles and cans to go. The Lock Tender tentatively plans to open this summer.
