Buffalo Brewing to Hold Dyngus Day Fundraiser at Schreiber Brewing

If you’d like to step back in Buffalo brewing history while doing your part to preserve its future, grab tickets to Buffalo Brewing Company’s Dyngus Day Celebration at the former Schreiber Brewing Company complex. Watch the parade from the grounds of the historic Schreiber Brewing with live music, craft beer and food. Tickets are $10 and include your first beer. Tickets will also be available for purchase on the day of the event. Proceeds from the event will go towards the stabilization of Schreiber as Buffalo Brewing looks to expand into the space in the near future.

Sour Power Returns to Pizza Plant Transit

Sour Power, Pizza Plant’s annual collection of sour beers, featuring everything from fruited sours to wild ales and subtle to mouth puckering, returns on April 3 (12pm). Flights and full pours, as well as a great bottle collection at 25% off, will be available with beers such as Firestone Walker 2018 Bretta  Rose, 2020 Hudson Valley Amulet, 2017 New Belgium La Folie and 2019 Cantillon Geuze. There will also be beers from Community Beer Works, Grimm, Cascade, Bellwoods and Evil Twin.

Big Ditch to Bring Back Space Donkey, Debut Kellerbier

On April 1, Big Ditch Brewing will bring back Space Donkey IPA and debut Kellerbier, the newest addition to their Beer That Tastes Like Beer series. Space Donkey ($14.99/4-pack) is Hayburner brewed with a massive amount of Galaxy hops for tropical aromas and flavors of fruit punch, cotton candy and citrus. Kellerbier ($12.99/4-pack) is an unfiltered German-style lager with floral hops and bready malts, which is smooth and drinkable. Available on draft and for pickup and shipping.

Thin Man Plans Another Triple Release This Week

It’s another big release week for Thin Man Brewery, who will release a much anticipated barrel aged beer and return two favorites. Blendatron, a blended barrel aged imperial stout, brewed in collaboration with the Buffalo Beer Geeks for CollaBEERation Fest 2.0, features 50% Rye barrel aged Awesome Jenkins, 30% bourbon barrel aged (un-named) imperial stout, 10% Maple Syrup barrel aged Awesome Jenkins & 10% bourbon barrel aged doppelbock.  It’s then aged on toasted hazelnuts and vanilla. Berry Was a Racecar Driver, features sweet strawberry, vanilla and lactose and Leap Spring Bock. Available at all Thin Man locations on April 1.

Resurgence Brewing Kegs & Eggs: The Office Edition April 3

Kegs & Eggs is back at Resurgence Brewing and this time, it’s a “The Office”-themed edition, on April 3 (11am). Flight 1 consists of Gabagool (Honey Sirracha Smells Like Buffalo), The Scranton Strangler Sour (Cotton Candy Sour), Oaky Afterbirth (Rum Barrel Aged Key Lime Pie) and Assistant to the Regional Manager (Honey Dew-Melon-Cucumber Saison) and Flight 2 features The Dundee Award (Fruited IPA), “If I don’t have some cake soon I might die” – Stanley (Birthday Cake Blonde Ale), “I am running away from responsibilities and it feels good” S’more Than An Ice Cream Sandwich Stout and Threat Level Midnight (Rainbow Sherbet Sour). Pressure Drop Brewing to Bring Back Aunt Gladys Loganberry Sour

Pressure Drop’s Aunt Gladys Loganberry Sour is making its triumphant return at their new Elmwood taproom on April 2. The beer features aromas of ripe raspberry and blackberry and flavors of loganberry sweet tarts, with soft, bright notes of loganberry-led dark berry up front, with a subtle pucker in the finish. This beer sold out in hours when it was first released – don’t miss it this time around.

New York Beer Project Girl Scout Cookie & Craft Beer Pairing Festival

If you didn’t know, Girl Scout cookies and beer make for a great pairing. On April 3 (2pm), New York Beer Project is bringing in their local Girl Scout troop for a beer and cookie pairing. Order a beer and it will be paired with a complimentary Girl Scout cookie with such pairings as Lemonades and Lemon Meringue Jelly Donut, Caramel de’Lites and Coconut IPA, Lockport Lager and Shortbreads and Thin Mints with Root Beer Float Stout. If one cookie isn’t enough, the Girl Scouts will be selling boxes of cookies to take home.
