After a whirlwind 15 months, normalcy is finally a reality.  It may not be quite the same, but bars are open, restaurants are busy, and breweries are back to their fun ways.

One piece to the “normalcy puzzle” is the return of the Ballpark Brewers Series, a collaborative effort by 3 local breweries, with a twist for 2021.  Resurgence Brewing, Big Ditch Brewing Company and Community Beer Works reunite for this effort with the Buffalo Bisons to create this years series which includes an IPA, Fruited Sour, Witbier, and Belgian Amber Ale.

The Twist?! Inviting an old friend. Flying Bison Brewing Company makes it debut in the series with “Brother Manto” Belgian Amber Ale, a beer that was created for the ole ballpark in Buffalo. This 5.9% ABV includes a carefully selected mix of German and Belgian malts, Czech and English hops and a spicy Belgian yeast.

Community Beer Works returns to the lineup with their “RBIPA,” a 6.5% ABV American IPA. This fermented clean and clear classic American IPA has pungent hop aromas from Centennial and Simcoe hops with a moderate bitterness.

Big Ditch enters the lineup with a Witbier named “Switch Wittah.” Batting 5.1% ABV, this is a classic Belgian Style ale that is brewed with wheat, oats, orange zest and coriander to provide a fruity, spicy and very refreshing beverage for warm outdoor drinking.

Resurgence Brewing bats cleanup with their Fruited Sour, “Chin Music.” Slugging 4.2% ABV, this fruited sour has a perfect blend of raspberries, blackberries and guava resulting in a dark pink appearance. This beer is absolutely perfect for a night at the ballpark.

The labels are significant this year as well. Each label represents a past or current big league club that our Buffalo Bisons were a farm team to.

The fun and excitement never ends within the Buffalo brewery scene, and these four breweries are joining forces for a mixed 16oz. 4-pack can for everyone’s enjoyment this year. You can find this package at your favorite retailers beginning the week of June 28, and at each of the breweries participating in the collaboration!
