Froth Brewing Taproom to Reopen After Over a Year Closed

After spending months in the dark, the lights will soon be back on at Froth Brewing, which will reopen their taproom for the first time since early last year. The taproom will reopen June 23 with Buffalo Burger Bros. in charge of the kitchen and plenty of new beer and seltzers in cans and on draft. They will also have wine options. Froth will be open this week on Wednesday and Thursday, 4pm-11pm, Friday and Saturday, 12am-11pm, and Sunday, 12am-6pm.

Community Beer Works Teams with Burchfield Penney, Nine Pin Cider Works

Community Beer Works are teaming up with the Burchfield Penney Art Center on Dancing Sunflowers Pale Ale, an American-style pale ale double dry-hopped with Simcoe and Citra for aromas of citrus and pine, on June 25 (3pm). $1 from every pint will be donated to Burchfield, who, to help celebrate, will be at the brewery (4-8pm) with information about how to get involved. For a limited time, you’ll receive a complimentary six month membership to the center when you purchase two four-packs. It’s available on draft and in cans.

CBW also teamed up with Nine Pin Cider Works on Pin Pals Apple Witbier, which will be released on June 26 (12pm). Brewed with NYS wheat and blended with NYS apples, Pin Pals features juicy apple in a crisp, Belgian-style witbier. It’s available on draft and in cans.

Gluten-Free Brewery Ghostfish to Open in Westfield

Ghostfish Brewery East, a brewery from Seattle that specializes in gluten-free beer, will soon open in Westfield after signing a three-year lease at the Lake Erie Grape Discovery Center. Buffalo Business First reports that three liquor license applications were filed for the location on June 7 through the State Liquor Authority. The brewery, which is set to become part of the Lake Erie Wine Country Trail, Ghostfish could be open by September. Renovations are currently underway.

New Riverworks Beer Benefits Local Firefighters

Riverworks Brewing are giving back to local firefighters with Backdraft Session IPA, to be released on June 26 (2pm). A portion of proceeds of the beer, an 4.2% ode to old school pale ales with Centennial hops and Red X and Pilsner malts to give the beer a red-ish hue, will go to benefit the Buffalo Professional Firefighters Local 282. “I feel we achieved something for both craft, and non-craft, beer drinkers to enjoy and ultimately it’s going to a good cause,” Head Brewer Jason Dunshie said.

West Shore to Release Dark & Stormy-Inspired Sour

West Shore Brewing will release Storm Mountain Sour, inspired by the Dark & Stormy cocktail, on June 26 (12pm). This smooth and tart sour is combined with flaked oats and conditioned on 100 pounds of blackberry puree and blended with rum and ginger extract.
