42 North Brewing’s Fortune Fetcher IPA, packed with pineapple, returns this Saturday for the second year in both 16oz. cans and draft. This hazy IPA comes in at 6.3% ABV and is brewed with Norwegian Voss yeast, lactose, ginger root, and pineapple for a tropical explosion that would blast anyone out of this Buffalo winter and transport them right to a oceanside cabana in Kauai.
A limited run of the fan-favorite will be kicked-off by a Winter Luau Can Release Party on Saturday at noon in the taproom featuring live “island” music from local reggae band Qwister and a Hawaiian-themed food menu including The Kitchen @ 42 North’s Hawaiian flatbread pizza.
4-packs will be available at the taproom only until supplies last. Fortune Fetcher will be on tap at places like Colter Bay, JP Fitzgeralds and many other WNY craft beer joints. The Winter Luau Can Release Party at the 42 North Taproom starts at Noon and is free and open to the public. Music starts at 2pm and the can release and Hawaiian-themed menu goes all-day long.
“We wanted to brew something fun and out-of-season on purpose. Sometimes the people
want a break from beers like the heavy pastry stouts that flood the colder seasons” says
Head Brewer Matt Matuszewski. The Cashmere hops provide a soft foundation for lactose and pineapple to really shine through in this almost upside-down pineapple cake-like IPA.”
