42 North’s robust catalog of Barrel-Aged beers will see two new locations for tasting and to-go purchases. “The Outpost – EVL” and “The Outpost – BUF” open this month alongside local purveyors of craft coffee with Ellicottville Coffee Company and longtime Downtown Buffalo spirit experts, Buffalo Distilling Company.
Barrel-aged bottle connoisseurs and craft beer lovers looking for new and exciting beers from 42 North Brewing will be able to purchase beers to-go ranging from funky barrel-aged projects to the great local staples as well as select brands from other regional breweries. 42 North will also host sampling events and special beer releases at both locations.
The Outpost – EVL opens this Friday, September 11 at 3pm at Ellicottville Coffee Company, located on 16 Washington St. in Ellicottville, and will serve as the ski-town’s one-stop-shop for local craft beer and curated outdoor adventure. The store will also serve as an information hub for hiking, biking and skiing maps, daily fishing suggestions, the best local kayak put-ins, and more. Hours this weekend are Friday 3-7pm for sampling and retail, Saturday from 8am-7pm for retail with sampling from 2-7pm and Sunday from 8am-5pm for retail only.
The Outpost – BUF, located inside Buffalo Distilling Company, is set to open later this month for 42 North Brewing to-go purchases and to showcase the barrel-side of brewing with tastings and conversations with distillers ingrained in our city’s rich spirit-making history.
“As 42 North continues to produce more barrel-aged products, we needed to expand our footprint so more folks in the region could experience these styles of beers,” says 42 North Founder, John Cimperman.
Of the partnership with Ellicottville Coffee Company and Buffalo Distilling, Cimperman says, “Both of these companies share our brand values of quality, collaboration, and authenticity. It also helps that their retail locations are also the perfect geographic complement to our base camp in East Aurora.”
