Don’t miss Resurgence Brewing’s annual Oktoberfest celebration on Saturday, Sept. 26, 12 – 6 pm at their Chicago Street taproom.

The all-day event will feature live music from the Polka Boyz, seasonal beer releases, German-inspired food specials, themed activities and festive Oktoberfest décor throughout the building and beer garden.

The event will also mark the return of Resurgence’s newest Oktoberfest tradition – The Pumpkin Chug. Participants can pre-register for the 3 pm chug, where contestants drink fresh Oktoberfest beer from carved pumpkins in a lively, crowd-driven experience. Pumpkin Chug registration is $5 and includes both the pumpkin and beer fill. Limited same-day registration may be available while supplies last. This year, participants will also be able to purchase a commemorative Pumpkin Chug t-shirt.

Guests can also participate in fan-favorite Stein Hoisting competitions at 2 pm and 4 pm, with signups available at the taproom during the event.

Featured beverages will include Oktoberfest, Sponge Candy Stout, Ice Boom Bock, Pumpkin Ale, Ghost Lantern Hard Cider and more. Food specials will include pretzel bites, bratwurst with aged cheddar, bacon, caramelized onion and beer mustard, Ghost Lantern BBQ chicken sandwiches, and hot dogs.

Guests may purchase commemorative Oktoberfest steins for $10, which includes the first fill and discounted refills throughout the day. Returning attendees are encouraged to bring steins from previous years.

“This event has become one of our favorite traditions because it brings together great beer, live music, Oktoberfest traditions, and the Buffalo community all in one day,” says Jeff Ware, Resurgence president. “Whether you come for the pumpkin chug, the music, or simply to enjoy a stein of Oktoberfest in the beer garden, there’s something for everyone.”
