Platter’s Chocolate Factory and Ellicottville Brewing Company are debuting a new delectable Pineapple Orange Whip Dessert Ale.
The delicious Pineapple Orange Whip is refreshing with tropical pineapple, fresh orange purée, and subtle waves of creamy vanilla. This dessert ale also has White Wheat and flaked Oats for a lush mouthfeel. The new brew is inspired by Platter’s Cafe’s signature summer whipped frozen dessert.
The Pineapple Orange Whip is available in four packs with 16-oz. cans in Western New York bars and grocery/beer stores.
A release party will be held on Wednesday, June 26, 6-9pm, at Fattey Beer Company in the Wurlitzer Building, North Tonawanda, to celebrate the partnership. There will be samples of the new brew and a chocolate pairing offered. In addition to that, there will be numerous giveaways at the event, as well as a basket raffle and a ‘Spin the Wheel to Win’ game. Platter’s will also serve a special Orange Pineapple custard during the beer tasting for guests to try.
EBC and Platter’s Chocolate Factory have come a long way since their original Orange Chocolate Blonde Ale release in 2019. This will be the 7th addition to the beer catalog between the two.
Platter’s Chocolate Factory’s General Manager, Amanda Mye, says, “When thinking of new ideas for beer flavors, we decided upon the orange pineapple whip. We were trying to think of something light that would fit perfectly for summer. An orange whip was first suggested, and I then suggested maybe we try adding pineapple. In addition, we will also carry Perry’s Orange Pineapple hard ice cream throughout the summer in our cafe.”
The Pineapple Orange Whip Dessert Ale will be available predominantly in Western New York bars and grocery/beer stores. For an all-inclusive experience, consider a tour at Platter’s Chocolate Factory in the historic Wurlitzer building, followed by a visit to Fattey Beer Company to try any of EBC’s many releases. Also available for carry-out and on draft at most of E.B.C.’s taprooms.
