Schnitzel, spätzle, and sausages — those are just some of the menu items that Hofbräuhaus Buffalo fans have been patiently waiting to sink their teeth into. Although they’ve been open for business for several months, Hofbräuhaus Buffalo will celebrate its official Grand Opening September 15-17 and will debut their full menu of authentic German fare.

Executive Chef Andy Bouchard has created an extensive menu of authentic German favorites, including schnitzel, spätzle and sausages provided by locally owned Wardynski’s Meats, as well as Bavarian-style pot roast, freshly baked pretzels, Oktoberfest-style chicken, radishes and rye, and more. Burgers, sandwiches, salads, and vegetarian and vegan options round out the menu.

The German bier hall’s official grand opening kicks off a 6-week Munich-style Oktoberfest celebration September 17-October 30 with live music daily, a weekly barrel-tapping and parade, and authentic German cuisine.

Some of Buffalo’s most popular German bands, including Auslanders, German American Musicians, Frankfurters and more will have guests standing on their chairs, raising their glasses, and singing along with traditional Oktoberfest and pop music tunes. A complete music schedule for Oktoberfest is available on the restaurant’s website at hofbrauhausbuffalo.com.

The festival wouldn’t be complete without its namesake bier, brewed from pure water, the best quality malt and perfect hops. Hofbräuhaus’ Oktoberfestbier comes straight from Munich and is available all September long, followed by Festbier in October. Hofbräuhaus Buffalo’s classic Bavarian bier varieties, including Hofbräu Original, Hefe Weizen, and Dunkel, will also be available along with seasonal brews like Urbräu, Dunkel Weizen, or Maibock.

“Our guests get the full German bier hall experience when they visit. Where else can you enjoy authentic German food, pure German bier and stand on your chair in a group sing along? It’s always a celebration, and when you’re here, you’re having fun without a care in the world. We’re thrilled to be able to offer a Munich-style Oktoberfest experience for the people of Buffalo,” said General Manager RJ Filbert.

Reservations for Oktoberfest are encouraged and can be booked on Open Table at https://www.opentable.com/r/hofbrauhaus-buffalo.
