Habitat for Humanity Buffalo announced its annual Hammer & Ales fundraiser will take place Thursday, March 2 at the Barrel Factory from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Attendees will enjoy food & drink tastings, auctions, games, and more as Habitat Buffalo raises money to build a home for a local family.
The event is part of Habitat’s The House Beer Built campaign, which is a yearly fundraiser through which the organization partners with regional breweries, distilleries, and restaurants to raise money with a goal of building or renovating a new home. Since 2016, The House Beer Built has funded the construction of three homes, which were built by volunteers from local breweries.
“Through The House Beer Built, we aim to help revitalize overlooked communities that have faced years of disinvestment, making neighborhoods safer, stronger, and more resilient,” said Habitat Buffalo. “We are thrilled to return to The Barrel Factory once again for this exciting event, which will undoubtedly be a night to remember all in the name of a great cause.”
In addition to Hammer & Ales, The House Beer Built campaign is also comprised of the sale of Craft Brew Tour Cards, which are booklets containing vouchers for one free drink redeemable at each of the more than 30 partnering bars, breweries, distilleries, and mead-makers.
Tickets for the event, which are on sale now, are $45 dollars and include admission into the event as well as tastings from participating restaurants and breweries. Tickets to Hammer & Ales and the Craft Brew Tour Cards can be purchased here.
