Through a collaborative effort between Try-It Distributing,  Flying Bison Brewing Company and the Erie County Agricultural Society, FairTastic Lemon Strawberry Ale is being released once again for a limited time.

The brew is based on the popular freshly squeezed lemonade that has been a tradition on the Fair midway for generations while strawberries represent the rich bounty of WNY produce that is celebrated each year inside the Fair’s Agricultural Grange Building.

“You know summer is really with us when we start talking Erie County Fair,” stated Tim Herzog, founder and General Manager of Flying Bison Brewing Company. “Fairtastic was so popular last summer that we had to bring it back for an encore.”zog

Bottled FairTastic 6-packs will be available through Try-It Distributing at Buffalo-area Tops Friendly Markets and 17 Western New York locations of Consumer’s Beverages and Flying Bison Taproom beginning the week of June 29.

The brewery also released Retired Racer American Wheat Ale to benefit the Buffalo Greyhound Adoption and its efforts.

“During our pandemic time, we all got closer to the family dog,” stated Herzog. “Some folks were not able to keep their dog due to housing or financial considerations.

“Our brewers developed a light, refreshing summer ale called Retired Racer,” said Vinny Somogyi, Flying Bison’s taproom manager. “We will be selling the beer in crowler cans for take home, or by the pint to enjoy while meeting the greyhounds. A portion of the proceeds benefit Buffalo Greyhound Adoption.”

“We made just a small batch, so don’t wait to stop in and try Retired Racer,” chimed in Herzog.
