It’s finally Friday. Enough said, right? There’s a bit of a lighter slate for tonight’s festivities as we gear up for a monumental weekend of events, but the second Friday of Buffalo Beer Week is buoyed by two massive events in the annual Ballpark Brewbash at Coca-Cola Field and the third annual New York Fall Beer Festival up at Woodcock Brothers. So, if you like beer festival, then tonight is tailor made for you.
But aside from those events, there’s plenty of live music around town tonight to go out and see.
The 2018 Ballpark Brew Bash takes place at Coca-Cola Field and features over 50 breweries from local and regional favorites as well as other well-known national breweries, who will be serving their wares both out on the field and inside on the concourse. Tickets can be purchased at Tickets.com and at any Consumer’s Beverages locations. 6-9pm.
Woodcock Brothers is gathering up over 20 New York State breweries serving all fall seasonal style brews, along with live music, food trucks, local distilleries and ciders and lawn games at the third annual NY Fall Beer Festival. $3 per drink-ticket, each ticket gets you one 5oz pour of any of the over 20 different libations featured, including beer from Big Ditch, Resurgence, 42 North, New York Beer Project, Four Mile, East Aurora Brewing, Ellicottville and Old First Ward Brewing as well as Ommegang, Saranac, Singlecut and Upstate Brewing. The event is open to the public. 6pm.
There’s also $1 off all craft pints at Mr. Goodbar, $5 pints of select IPA’s and $5 fish tacos at Murphy Brown’s, New York Beer Project Triple Crown Imperial Stout tasting at Black Button Distilling (5-8pm), Nick Kody and the Creek Road Band take the stage at Four Mile Brewing (6pm), Shake Stage perform at Lilly Belle Meads (7pm), Adam Schmidt performs live at 12 Gates (8pm), and Justin Williams will be playing at Eli Fish (9pm).
Elsewhere during Buffalo Beer Week, as has become customary, Buffalo Brewing Company will be open every day and even have a new projection screen to watch Bills games on Sundays. Pearl Street and Lafayette Brewing are offering $3.50 pints all Beer Week long, and score $2 off pints at Pizza Plant and $4 pints at Riverworks Brewing with coupons you can find in the official Beer Week book.
