Wayland Brewing’s First Ever Spring Beer & Food Festival

Wayland Brewing will hold their first Spring Beer & Food Festival on April 6 (1-4pm) in Wayland Hall. In addition to Wayland, there will be craft beer and cider from Strangebird, Frequentem, Mortalis Brewing, Dancing Gnome, Personal Best, Autark Brewhouse, Smoldered Society, BriarBrothers Brewing, Brazen Brewing, Brooklyn Cider House, Aurora Brew Works, and OSB Ciderworks, with more to be announced. There will also be food available. Tickets are $55 and include tastings, food and a commemorative glass. Tickets can be purchased online or at the taproom. Only about 200 tickets available.

12 Gates Brewing Launches New Imperial Beer Series

12 Gates Brewing has introduced a new line of high ABV brews dubbed ‘The Imperial Series.’ The first beer is an 8.5% West Coast-style Spring IPA, which is available now. This beer packs a punch while still maintaining a smooth drinkability, and balances a delicate bitterness with a subtle sweetness. You can find 12 Gates’ West Coast-style Spring IPA on draft and in 16oz. 4-packs cans to go right now at the brewery.

Sad Boys Brewing to Celebrate One Year Anniversary

Larkin’s Sad Boys Brewing are turning one this weekend on March 23 (12pm) and are celebrating with drink specials all day, new beers on tap, trivia (5pm), pretzel eating contest (6pm), pie slam (ever wanted to slam a pie into someone’s face? 8pm) and official toast to the next year and the future (9pm). There will also be food available from Underfire Pizza (4pm-7pm). “Come join the fun, share some laughs, and make memories with us as we mark this special occasion. Let’s raise a glass to another year of great brews and good times,” the brewery says.

Magic Bear Beer Cellar Collabs With Brindle Haus Brewing

For the next exclusive Magic Bear Beer Cellar collaboration, the wheel has landed on Spencerport’s Brindle Haus Brewing Co. The result of that collaboration is BoysenBEARy Tart, a boysenberry fruited sour that features elements of sour, sweet, creamy, berry tartness, and graham cracker, which will be available on tap on March 28 at Magic Bear (5pm). For the release party, Brindle Haus will be on hand sampling a selection of their other craft beers, food will be available from Brisket Love BBQ, and trivia from DJ Trivia will follow at 7pm.

Sloop Brewing Beer Pairing Dinner at RationAles

For their latest beer pairing dinner event, Williamsville’s RationAles is welcoming Sloop Brewing to town on March 27 (6pm). Tickets are $65 and include four craft beer pours paired with four dishes, including an appetizer (Cheddar Ale Soup and West Coast Style IPA), salad (Classic Wedge Salad and Premium Lager), entrée (Nashville Hot Chicken and Super Soft IPA) and dessert (Irish Soda Bread and Half Baked Stout). Seating is limited. Tickets can be purchased here.

Eli Fish Brewing Set to Celebrate Sixth Anniversary

For Eli Fish’s sixth anniversary on March 23, it’s an all-day party, starting at noon. At 1pm, there will be a Custom Charcuterie Class by April and Eli Fish beer pairing (purchase tickets here), the Great Fish Race takes place at 4pm (teams of four compete in a relay race, but instead of a baton, you’re running with a whole fish, $40 per team (includes 2 free drinks each), winners get four mug club memberships for the rest of 2024)(purchase tickets here), there will be live music from Josh Hawkins, Grizzwoode and DJ Lagerhythms, and there will be an Eli Fish beer trailer parked in Jackson Square. The first 200 people will receive a free Eli Fish pint-a-week card.

Grab a Local Craft Beer at a Buffalo Bisons Game This Season

The Buffalo Bisons will kick off their 2024 campaign with a weekend homestand, March 29-31, against the Scranton Wilkes-Barre Yankees. And what goes better together than beer and baseball. Sahlen Field offers a great local craft beer selection, whether it be at the Resurgence Brewing cart, Southern Tier Brewing dugout or Consumer’s Beverages Craft Beer Corner. This season, ‘Fridaynightbash!’ events include a pregame Resurgence Happy Hour ($4 craft beers and food specials) and postgame fireworks and Southern Tier will host ‘Thirsty Thursdays’ with beer specials.
