Hamburg Brewing Thinking Summer With New Beer
Hamburg Brewing are dropping a new beer fitting of the coming warming months in Citrus Wheat, a 5.6% ABV American wheat ale with notes of candied orange, lemon peel, cara cara orange puree and fruity hops. Citrus Wheat will be available on draft and in 6-pack 12oz. cans at the brewery on January 28. The brewery also recently released Puck Dropper, a 7.2% IPA and Sour Plum Berry, a 7% fruited sour with plum and raspberry, both of which can be found on draft and in cans.
New Pastry Sour and Czech Pils Coming to Thin Man
Thin Man Brewery is releasing a pair of beers on January 28, Waterfall of Creative Alternatives Pastry Sour Ale and 11° Czech Pilsner. Waterfall of Creative Alternatives, a collaboration with Blaze Brewing Co. from Biddeford, Maine, is tart and packed with blueberry, vanilla and local maple, and 11° is a tribute to a traditional Czech pilsner; light bready notes from floor malted pilsner meld with the floral and delicately spicy notes of the Czech grown hops. Both beers will be available Friday at all Thin Man locations.
12 Gates Brewing to Release New Lager
It may only be the end of January, but 12 Gates Brewing are dropping a new beer perfect for golf courses this summer. Mulligan is a light and refreshing lager that clocks in at 4.5%, a beer that will be your perfect caddy when it comes time for you to hit the links in a few months. Mulligan is available right now on draft and in 12oz can 6-packs at the brewery.
IPA, English Dark Mild in the Works at Big Ditch Brewing
On January 28 (11am), Big Ditch is releasing Aardvarks vs Anteaters IPA and the next entry into their Beer That Tastes Like Beer Series, English Dark Mild. Aardvarks vs Anteaters IPA is brewed with Simcoe, El Dorado and Zappa hops, for notes of bright tangerine and tropical fruit flavor, light earthy and juniper notes (available on draft and in 16oz. 4-packs, $14.99). Dark English Mild features malt complexity (biscuit, toast, roast, toffee, and coffee) combined with absolute drinkability (available on draft and in 16oz. 4-packs $12.99).
Froth Brewing to Celebrate Third Anniversary
Froth Brewing is throwing a party for their third anniversary on January 28 (7pm). There are giveaways planned, there will be live music from The Rig (7-10pm) and a guest tap list from 450 North Brewing, Fifth Frame Brewing and Finback Brewery, in addition to all of your favorite Froth beers. All attendees will need to have proof of vaccination.
Beer List Announced for 42 North’s Second Annual Barrel Jam
42 North Brewing has announced the full beer lineup for the second annual Barrel Jam Barrel-Aged Beer Festival on January 29 (2-6pm). The event celebrates the art of barrel-aging beers, live music and winter sports. 42 North will roll out their BBA Red Army and BBA Ben Nevis, in addition to other beers like Eli Fish Double Barrel Steamy Grains Vaughan, Prison City Barrel Aged Wham Whams and more, including barrel aged ciders and meads. The event will also feature local music, a Rail Jam Freestyle Ski competition, local distilleries and more. Tickets available at 42northbrewing.com.
