In the Mix Brewery & Creamery Closing Their Doors for Good
One week removed from their first ever can release, and mere months after announcing a second taproom in downtown Buffalo, Barker’s In the Mix Brewery & Creamery have announced that they will be closing for good, and will not be reopening either of their taprooms moving forward. The brewery and frozen custard hybrid said that they made the decision to close their doors after “some miscalculations on just how long the bureaucratic red tape would take to clear.” Owners Austin and Jared Mesiti made the announcement on Facebook.
Community Beer Works to Release There Is No Offseason Kveik Ale
CBW are looking to ease the burden of the Bills not playing in the Super Bowl this weekend with the release of There Is No Offseason, a 5.8% dry-hopped Kveik Ale on February 5 (3pm) in 12oz. six-packs. Additionally, CBW is also making their Good Neighbor IPA a year-round offering, beginning this weekend. It will be available at the Shops @ CBW, and wherever great beer is sold. New Chocolate Cherry Porter at Flying Bison Brewing

Another Barrel Aged Coming to Brickyard Brewing
The string of recent barrel aged beers continues with Hopeless Romantic Imperial Milk Stout, a dark ale aged in Port Wine and Cabernet barrels with lactose, Orris root, blackberry and cherry. This is a chocolate-laden doubled up version of Lewiston Porter, laid to rest for more than a year to create deep notes of dark red fruit. 16.9oz wax dipped bottles ($13 each) will be available for pickup starting February 11 at 11am.
Belgian Beer and Chocolate Fest Returns to Pizza Plant
Pizza Plant’s annual Belgian Beer and Chocolate Festival returns on February 10 (6pm) to their Transit Road location. Ommegang will be bringing Super Kriek, Rare Vos, Game of Thrones Valar Dohaeris, Bourbon Barrel Vanilla Smoked Porter and Hennepin. Each flight comes with free Chow Chocolates, who will also have chocolate gift boxes for sale.
West Shore Brewing to Release New IPA at Rochester Pop-Up
On February 13, West Shore is heading to the Rochester & Genesee Valley Railroad Museum in Rush, NY, for a special beer sale pop-up. West Shore will be releasing their new Hammerhead IPA, a beer inspired by Lehigh Valley “Hammerhead” Alco RS-3 211. This double-dry hopped recipe features Centennial, Simcoe, and Mosaic hops. Also available will be Green Flyer IPA, Gandy Dancer Raspberry Pineapple Sour, King Edward Porter, and Imperial Banana Cream Pie Stout. Pre-order yours now for pickup at the pop-up.
