42 North Full Circle Fest Moves to Knox Farm State Park

After a two-year hiatus, 42 North Brewing’s Full Circle Festival will move to the Stables and Knox Farm State Park on May 21 (2-6pm). The event will feature over a dozen regional craft breweries, cideries and distilleries coming together to celebrate the sustainability of the craft beverage industry. In addition to sampling from all the breweries, tickets include live music from Brothers Blue, agriculture vendors, souvenir tasting glass and the annual pig roast. Registration Now Open for The Dude’s Homebrew Competition

Calling all homebrewers! Registration is now open for the 8th Annual The Dude’s Homebrew Competition, which raises money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. This year’s event will be on Saturday, August 6 (12-3pm) at The Lodge at Delaware Park, where homebrewers will serve samples of their beer to attendees, who will vote for their favorite beer, which will be judged by a panel of local brewers. Celebrate Cinco de Mayo & Derby Weekend at New York Beer Project

Cinco de Mayo Weekend will be a busy one this year at New York Beer Project. On May 5, NYBP will have Mexican food specials, Fiesta Margarita flights and three beer releases, including Cerveza Mexican Lager with Lime, Supernatural Vitamin T (passionfruit sour aged in Tequila barrels) and Tequila BA Cerveza. Then on May 7, the mint julips will be flowing for the Most Exciting Two Minutes in Sports, the Kentucky Derby. Draw a horse from a hat and if you picked the winner, you win a free beer.

Sad Boys Brewing Launch New Kickstarter Campaign

Sad Boys Brewing, who plan to open later this year at 567 Exchange St. in Larkinville, have a launched a new Kickstarter campaign in an effort to fund renovations, licensing costs and behind-the-scenes costs that come with starting a business. The campaign has a goal of $15,000 and runs through the middle of May. The campaign features a number of different donation tiers and includes Sad Boys merchandise such as wristbands, koozies, bumper stickers and shirts, along with a variety of events such as brewing classes, tours and more. Magic Bear Beer Cellar Now Offering Beer Education Classes

Magic Bear Beer Cellar is now offering educational beer classes led by owner and Certified Cicerone Craig Altobello. The classes cover topics such as the history or process of beer, ‘tastings’ which explore a selection of beers with a common theme and ‘pairings’ which focus on complementing food with beer. “Cheers to American Beers” will take place April 29. Sample and learn about a selection of beers that show off the variety and evolution of craft beer in America (includes beer samples, snack board and guided tasting (approximately one (1) hour long)). The Beer Keep Launches Online Store, Delivery Service

The Beer Keep has launched a new online store at thebeerkeep.com and have made their entire inventory of craft beer, seltzer, cider, wine and more available for pickup and delivery. All prices include tax and deposit. Delivery is available within a 5 mile radius. Ordering is available until 10pm, seven days a week. Minimum order is $15 with a flat rate Door Dash delivery charge. Regional feature event products will not be available until the following week.
