12 Gates of Christmas Challenge Returns to 12 Gates Brewing

It’s time for 12 Gates Brewing to open the 12 Gates of Christmas. Starting December 1, the brewery will tap a new beer for 12 consecutive days and to complete the challenge, you’ll need to be in attendance each day to get your card punched. Starting December 1, the following beer will be tapped: Jagged Bitter Pill IPA, Cry If I Want To Birthday Cake White Stout, Carrot Cake Smoothie Sour, S’more What? Stout, Heat Miser IPA, Black Forest Stout, Top Shelf Where Momma Hides the Gingerbread! Amber Ale, Tiny Tim Double IPA, It’s Peanut Butter Jelly Time Smoothie Sour, Banana Cream Pie Hefeweizen, Let’s Get Sauced Pancho’s Lager w/Cranberry and Putting on the Foil DIPA and Imp Flo Smoothie Sour.

BTR Brews Craft Beer Shop Opens in Village of Angola

While their official grand opening is set for December 3, BTR Brews Craft Beer Shop is now open in the Village of Angola at 15 N. Main Street. In addition to offering a variety of craft beer on tap, BTR serves cider and wine with packaged craft beer to-go. For food, BTR currently offers jarcuterie, or single serve charcuterie in a jar. They are open Monday – Thursday, 12-10pm, Friday and Saturday, 12-11pm and Sunday, 12-8pm.

Celebrate 4 Years of Pressure Drop With New IPA

As Pressure Drop Brewing turns four, they are keeping things casual this year with a dock sale featuring the release of Double Dry Hopped Super Sticky, an 8% Double IPA, along with their usual line up and select discounted 4-packs. They will also be hosting visitors in their brewhouse for a pint while shopping (must be 21+ to party in the brewhouse).

Ellicottville Brewing’s Chocolate Beers Are Back

Ellicottville Brewing is bringing back Orange Chocolate Blonde Ale and Raspberry Truffle Porter, a pair of collaborations with Platter’s Chocolate. On November 29, they will host a release party at Fattey Beer in North Tonawanda. They will be auctioning off prizes and sampling beer and chocolate with proceeds going towards Olivia’s Bears. Both beers will be available in combo packs, which will feature two of each. They will also offer single flavor 4-packs exclusively at Fattey Beer.

Clarksburg Cider to Release Holiday Spiced Cider

Just in time for the holidays, Clarksburg Cider will release their new Holiday Spiced Cider on November 24, a semi-sweet cider with cinnamon and orange flavors along with subtle ginger notes. For the release, they will also feature carry-out specials, including $1 off 4-packs and 6-packs, $2 off crowler fills (excluding the Bourbon Barrel-Aged Cider), and $5 off a case of cider that you can mix and match.

 

Big Boy Thin Man Stouts Coming for Black Friday

Cancel your flight to Bourbon County this year, because Thin Man has you covered. On November 26, they will release Bourbon BA Coconut Jenkins, aged 24 months in Blanton’s barrels for notes of coconut, chocolate, oak, vanilla and cherry cordial, and Bourbon BA Awesome Jenkins, aged 20 months in Willett Bourbon Barrels for notes of spicy bourbon, caramel, toffee, unsweetened chocolate, stonefruit, oak, vanilla and honey. Preorder available at OZNR for Elmwood and Transit locations only. Available at all locations Friday.

Deck the Halls at Pizza Plant Transit

Christmas beers, a bottle share and cookie competition, oh my! Deck the Halls at Pizza Plant on November 28 this weekend, including a 2016 to 2020 vertical sampling of Anchor Brewing Merry Christmas & Happy New Year (Our Special Ale) magnum bottles and a bottle share. Bring a toy to be entered into a raffle for Draft Card. There will also be a cookie competition. Bring in 24 cookies and four will be used for judging by Buffalo celebrities, including Drew Cerza, and the other 20 cookies will be boxed and for charity. Register for the competition here.
