42 North Brewing Company is set to release their fan-favorite fruited sour Halt! Who Gose There? Raspberry & Blackberry Gose this weekend for the beer’s first official release.
The new-look “Halt!” is now available for pre-order at their online store, and in-person starting Saturday, November 14 at 12pm at the 42 North taproom and their Outpost locations in Ellicottville and downtown Buffalo. Anyone who purchases a Halt! Who Gose There? 4-pack will also receive a pair of 3D glasses to view the special 3D anaglyph label artwork.
Halt! Who Gose There? is described as a modern take on the traditional Gose made with a blend of four Norwegian Kviek yeasts and two strains of Lactobacillus and Lactose to complement the tartness, and dry-hopped with Azacca, El Dorado and Mosaic hops. The fruited sour is then finished with blackberries and red raspberries.
Head Brewer Matt Matuszewski designed the “Halt!” recipe around the idea of keeping the beer tasting as “farm-to-pint” as possible by using real fruit that hasn’t been fermented out for distribution purposes. He also encourages consumers to “keep this beer cold!”
The brewery’s Pre-Emption IPA Series also continues this weekend with the return of Major Hoops DIPA, now available for pre-order at their online store and in-person starting 12pm on Saturday, November 14 at the taproom and The Outposts.
Major Hoops DIPA is a triple dry-hopped haze bomb sporting Citra, Sabro, and Azacca hops for a tropical, citrusy and super hazy double IPA that comes in at 9%.
Pre-Order both beers at 42 North’s online store at www.theoutpost42n.com. Both beers will be available at The Outposts in Ellicottville and Downtown Buffalo for folks that aren’t able to make it to East Aurora on release day. You can learn more about The Outposts at bit.ly/theoutposts42N.
