This Saturday, 42 North Brewing will release Rum Barrel-Aged Fortune Fetcher Pineapple IPA for the first time as the fan-favorite pineapple IPA takes on rum spices and roasted pineapple.

The beer will be available at the 42 North taproom and the new “Outpost” locations in Ellicottville, NY and downtown Buffalo at Buffalo Distilling, starting at noon on Saturday with tastings from noon – 3 pm at Buffalo Distilling Company and 3 – 7 pm at the Ellicottville location.

Pre-order for pick-up at the 42 North taproom is available at theoutpost42n.com.

The beer will be released in 16oz. 4-packs. Rum Barrel-Aged Fortune Fetcher will be available on draft at the taproom only.

Following a successful first weekend partnering with Ellicottville Coffee Company for their southern tier location, 42 North will open “Outpost – BUF” in Buffalo Distilling Company’s downtown location to serve as a “city hub” for the East Aurora brewery’s releases, one-off offerings and core lineup of beers. The brewery’s satellite retail pop-ups are a new kind of barrel-aged experience as well as a geographically-friendly place for non-Southtowners to pick-up the most recent 42 North bottle and can releases.

The Buffalo location will focus on the spirits side of the barrel-aging process through the lens of BDC.

“42 North is “kicking Fortune Fetcher IPA up a notch!” says Head Brewer Matt Matuszewski.

The Rum Barrel-Aged Fortune Fetcher Pineapple IPA starts off with pineapple, vanilla & ginger in its original form then is aged in rum barrels with an added roasted pineapple and allspice for a perfect blend of your favorite tropical flavors. You’ll also find some coconut notes derived from the barrels.
