Over the past few years, there has been growing popularity for lower ABV craft beers. To meet this demand, 42 North is introducing Northern Light Lager, a 4.2% domestic-style lager that is brewed with Pilsner and Munich malt, with a hint of German Magnum and Perle hops.

Northern Light Lager will also be sold at a very approachable price. Both 42 North taprooms are offering draft pints for $5 and, for the first time ever, 42 North’s East Aurora taproom will be selling pitchers of Northern Light Lager for $17.

“Our customers often come into the taproom and simply ask for a beer. Well, this is it, an easy drinking, low ABV lager,” 42 North Owner John Cimperman said.

When asked about offering up pitchers of beer in the taproom for the first time, Cimperman added, “We have a lot of adult hockey teams and softball teams coming to the taproom. They are big fans of light lagers and sharing a pitcher or two after a game.”

According to 42 North Head Brewer Matt Matuszewski,“Northern Light is our table beer. Super approachable and easy to drink. If someone comes to the taproom and says they only want a beer, this is a good place to start.” Matt added, “To our big beer fans, don’t despair. We have a few creative stouts, barrel aged beers, and scotch ales in the pipeline.”
