Williamsville’s 12 Gates Brewing has closed their satellite location in Ellicottville, 12 Gates of EVL, located at 14 Washington St.

In a statement posted to their social media, 12 Gates said that they will not be renewing the lease for 12 Gates of EVL and thanked their customers for supporting the location. They add that any unused 12 Gates of EVL gift cards will be honored at our Williamsville taproom.

“Effective immediately, 12 Gates of EVL will not be renewing the lease and is closing its doors,” the social post reads. “We thank you for two years of incredible memories and support. Please visit us at our Williamsville taproom for the same great brews and some friendly faces. Cheers!”

The brewery says they initially chose Ellicottville for a second taproom location because it has become a vibrant community with a ‘thirst for craft beer with an adventurous lifestyle.’ “We’ve seen a lot of support for our beer in the area and we’re excited to share an even wider selection with the visitors,” Tom Kirchmeyer, a co-founder of 12 Gates, said at the time of opening.

12 Gates of EVL first opened in November 2022.
