BriarBrothers Brewing Company is already celebrating its third anniversary on June 21 with live music, new merch, beer releases and more.
In honor of the special occasion, the brewery is bringing back Crusher (Session IPA), Euphoria (Golden Ale), and Agora (Brown Ale), there will be a special variant of Agora and a trio of new brews, including Rooftop Sessions (7% NEIPA brewed with Whakatu Koura, a New Zealand hop blend of Wakuta hops and Phantasm Thiol powder), Coats on the Couch (7.5% NEIPA brewed with a New Zealand hop blend Newzilla) and Tears on the Linoleum (7% NEIPA brewed with Motueka, Nelson and Rakau hops).
Joel Betti, one half of the brother ownership group behind BriarBrothers Brewing, says it’s surreal to be celebrating three years as a brewery, but it’s a chance to celebrate community and the people who have helped to get them to where they are today.
“Three years in, and it still feels unreal to see how far we’ve come from those early days brewing small batches just for fun,” Joel said. “What started as a passion project between two brothers has grown into something that belongs to our community as much as it does to us. This anniversary is a chance to celebrate not just our beer, but the people who’ve made this journey unforgettable.”
There will also be live music from Vinyl Cocktails (5 pm), new anniversary merchandise and more.
The event is free and open to the public.
Fellow owner and head brewer Dylan Betti says the entire process of getting the brewery to this point has been rewarding and he is looking forward to what the future holds.
“As a brewer, hitting three years feels like both a blur and a huge accomplishment,” Dylan said. “Each brew we’ve made has been a chance to learn, improve and push ourselves to create a product that represents the city we love. It’s been incredibly rewarding to see people connect with what we’re making, and I can’t wait to keep experimenting and growing alongside this community.”
