Local Hollow Brewing will celebrate its grand opening Sept. 17–19 at 10737 Main Street in Clarence Hollow. Events will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony, Buffalo Bills watch party, family activities with the Clarence Youth Bureau, local food trucks, New York State winery and distillery tastings, and live music.
Located in the former Shalooby Loofer Brewing space, Local Hollow opened under new local ownership this summer. Owner Hilary Dollinger, a longtime Clarence Hollow resident, aims to create a neighborhood taproom focused on locally brewed beer, New York State products and community involvement.
“Clarence Hollow has been home to me for most of my life, so it was important to create something that feels like it belongs to the community,” said Dollinger. “We want Local Hollow to be a place where neighbors, families and friends can come together. The grand opening is an opportunity for us to celebrate that vision with the community.”
Events begin Thursday, Sept. 17, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 5:30 p.m., followed by a Buffalo Bills watch party.
On Friday, Sept. 18, the Clarence Youth Bureau will provide games and face painting during Family Night. An outdoor Family Movie Night begins at 8 p.m., weather permitting. Guests should bring chairs or blankets.
The celebration continues Saturday, Sept. 19, from noon to 10 p.m., with outdoor activities, local food trucks, New York State winery and distillery tastings, and live music by Justin Rizzo from 6 to 9 p.m.
Local Hollow offers beer brewed on site, New York State wine and spirits, cocktails and other beverages. The brewery also hosts the Hollow Hashers running and walking club and supports WNY Heroes through its WNY Hero Wheat, donating $1 from each pint sold.
“Our goal is to build something that becomes a lasting part of Clarence Hollow,” Dollinger said. “The beer brings people through the door, but the sense of community is what we hope keeps them coming back.”
