Habitat for Humanity Buffalo and the Buffalo Niagara Brewers Association have once again teamed up with dozens of watering holes across Western New York for the House Beer Built Craft Brew Tour, redeemable cards that feature a number of coupons for free beer, mead and cocktails at 32 different locations. The fundraising campaign is part of Habitat Buffalo’s year-long campaign that supports their mission of building homes for families in need throughout Buffalo and Erie County.
Last year’s House That Craft Beer Built effort raised $80,000 for a new house on Manitoba Street.
“We couldn’t find a better partner than our local brewers,” said Stephanie Lawson, Development and Communications Manager for Habitat Buffalo. “For years, brewers have been going into distressed neighborhoods, revitalizing forgotten buildings, and reinvigorating the community around them. Brewers are uplifting neighborhoods, just like we do.”
With your purchase of a House Beer Built Craft Brew Tour card, you can get free beers from breweries such as Resurgence Brewing, Big Ditch Brewing, SATO Brewpub, Flying Bison Brewing, Ellicottville Brewing, Community Beer Works, 12 Gates Brewing, New York Beer Project, Pressure Drop Brewing, Prosper Brewing, Belt Line Brewery & Kitchen, Steelbound Brewery & Distillery, Windy Brew, Southern Tier Brewing and Hamburg Brewing and bars and brewpubs like Schnitzel & Co., The Irishman, Buffalo Roadhouse Grill, Keglers, Fat Bob’s Smokehouse, Aurora Brew Works, Tavern at Windsor Park, Bar Cultivar, Pizza Plant and World of Beer. You will also be able to get free cocktails from Lockhouse Distillery, Lakeward Spirits, Black Button Distilling and Buffalo Distilling and mead from Lilly Belle Meads in Clarence. The House Beer Built Tour cards will also score you free drinks at Aurora Cider and the Buffalo Cider Hall.
“We are tremendously grateful to partner with our local brewers and the Buffalo Niagara Brewers Association,” Habitat Buffalo says of the Craft Brew Tour cards. “Together, we [can] raise the funds to sponsor the construction of a whole house!”
Cards are $35 and can be purchased at the Habitat Buffalo ReStore (501 Amherst Street) and Transit Lanes in Williamsville. You can also order yours online right now by clicking here. A limited number of cards are available. Online orders will be processed and mailed via USPS within one business day ($3 shipping fee will be added to all orders). Each coupon is valid through the end of 2020.
An additional fundraising event, Hammer & Ales, will take place March 26 at the Barrel Factory in the Old First Ward.
