Fire crews are currently on scene battling a massive blaze at Brickyard Pub & BBQ in Lewiston, which neighbors Brickyard Brewing Company. Reports state ‘heavy fire with some type of explosion in rear of the structure’ and a ‘heavy fire through the roof with partial collapse.’ Firefighters say they got the first call for the fire just after 10:30 p.m. Tuesday night.

According to WIVB, the Lewiston Fire Company No. 1 says Center St. and Ridge Rd. are closed between 4th and 5th St. They are asking any bystanders to stay away from the scene.

Brickyard has been steadily growing their footprint in the Western New York beer scene, led by their house New England IPA, White Bronco. Their portfolio has been getting stronger over the last year plus with the addition of Ten Cents Pils, Ledge Party Light, Millions Of… Fruited Gelato IPA Series and Flat Brim Hat Triple IPA. Their Blep NEIPA, a collaboration with West Shore Brewing, is a personal favorite.

The news has garnered a tremendous outpouring of support on social media from not only Brickyard’s contemporaries, but people throughout the WNY beer scene.

Stay tuned for more details as they become available.
