Steelbound to Open Second Location in Springville This Summer
Ellicottville’s Steelbound Brewery and Distillery are expanding their talents a few miles north with plans to open a second location in Springville this summer. Tentative plans call for the Steelbound Brewery & Restaurant of Springville to open its doors in July at the former Papa Jakes, which is located at 243 W. Main Street. The new 7,600 square foot space will feature a new 3-barrel brewing system, which will focus on experimental beers. All of the brewery’s big batch beers (Alpha Ralpha IPA, Subabrew IPA, etc) will continue to be brewed in Ellicottville. There will be seating for over 300.

Fattey Beer Co. Coming Soon to Downtown Buffalo
Fattey Beer Company, a new venture from Nik Fattey of Hamm & Fattey’s fame, is set to open soon in downtown Buffalo at 5 Genesee Street, next door to Overwinter Coffee, around the corner from Misuta Chows and up the road from Big Ditch Brewing. The beer store/bottle shop/bar hybrid will feature 12 taps as well as roughly 500 packaged beers. The space will also be dog friendly and will feature a version of Grandpa’s Beer Fridge (much like Hamm & Fattey’s), board games, mug club, limited food options and craft root beer. The shop should be open very soon.
