Belgian Beer and Chocolate Fest Returns to Pizza Plant

Pizza Plant’s annual Belgian Beer and Chocolate Festival returns on February 9 (6pm) to their Transit Road location. Ommegang will be bringing Three Philosopher’s Double Chocolate, Witte and Keep It Crunchy Stout, while Community Beer Works will contribute their new Chocolate Covered Strawberry The Whale. Each flight comes with free Chow Chocolates, who will also have chocolate gift boxes for sale. There will also be raffles for brewery swag and prizes.

Thin Man Collaborates with Other Half, Captain Lawrence

Thin Man is releasing a pair of collaborations this week, Tmavý Ležák, a Czech Dark Lager collab with Other Half FLX, and All in the Game, Yo, a NEIPA brewed with Captain Lawrence. The former carries notes of coffee and toasted bread, while the latter features Centennial, Citra, Talus and Kohatu hops and oats for a smooth mouthfeel and notes of tropical fruit & pine. Both beers will be available February 11 at all Thin Man locations.

Celebrate Valentine’s Day With Special Hofbräuhaus Beer Dinner

Still looking for a Valentine’s Day gift? Why not tickets to Hofbrauhaus’ first ever Bier Pairing Dinner? The event features a four course meal, each paired with a Hofbrauhaus beer. The menu includes citrus-cured Atlantic salmon with shaved fennel salad and blood orange emulsion (Hefeweizen), roasted red beet salad with goat cheese and aged banyuls vinegar reduction (Original Lager), pan seared New York strip and jumbo shrimp, carrot potato puree, sautéed Crimini mushrooms, wilted spinach and burgundy demi-glace (Schwarzbier) and Valrhona chocolate lava cake with raspberry crème anglaise (Doppelbock). Tickets Still Remain for This Weekend’s Buffalo on Tap

Buffalo On Tap returns to the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center on February 12 (1-4pm, 6:30–9:30pm) after taking place last year at the Hamburg Fairgrounds. Tickets range from $45-$65 and include unlimited refills of craft beers, hard seltzers and ciders from 12 Gates Brewing, 42 North Brewing, Buffalo Brewing, Community Beer Works, Four Mile, Southern Tier, West Shore Brewing, Woodcock Brothers and more. The event will also feature food, craft vendors and live music.

Belt Line’s Doors Down Double NEIPA Returns

Doors Down Double New England IPA returns to Belt Line Brewery on February 11 (12pm). The 8.1% imperial hazy, which is double dry hopped with Citra, Galaxy and Nelson hops to create a dank tropical fruit aromas with notes of resinous hops, overripe mango and pineapple, will be available in both 4-pack cans to-go and on draft at Belt Line’s taproom.

Southern Tier Brewing Launches New Experimental DIPA Series

Each Tuesday in February, Southern Tier Brewing will tap a new experimental Double IPA at The Empty Pint in Lakewood. Starting with Experimental IIPA V1 (8.2% ABV with notes of sweet fruit and berries), which is on tap now, the brewery will tap four different varieties of DIPAs throughout the month, each with a different experimental hop.

12 Gates Release New Snow Daze Hazy IPA

The latest edition of the Daze Series has dropped at 12 Gates Brewing. The aptly named Snow Daze is a 6.7% hazy IPA aged on milk sugar that was double dry-hopped with Citra, Mandarina Bavaria, Mosaic and Simcoe hops. The beer is available at the taproom in 16oz. 4-pack cans and on draft right now. It will hit shelves at local craft beer retailers soon.
