Brewed & Bottled Craft Beer Shop, Lewiston, New York’s only craft beer bottle shop, only has one rule – ‘Beer is awesome. Respect it, respect each other, have a good time,’ which seems relatively easy enough to follow.
Since opening the doors of their Lewiston (402 Center St.) bottle shop back on August 5 to coincide with the release of Woodcock Brothers XPA 7.0 (B&B also hosted the release of Woodcock’s XPA 8.0 just recently), shop owner Christopher Budde, who runs the shop alongside his wife Jessica, admits that he has been blown away by the community response in the few shorts months that they have been open to the public.
“The response has been amazing,” Budde says. “The idea of a shop where you can enjoy a beer and the company of others and also shop to go has been well received. Beer is social and the reality of talking to a stranger about what you’ve tried, they’ve tried or what your buying (etc.) is awesome. People are discussing a beer club on site and I think that would be great. I have personally met neighbors that I never knew through the shop and it’s pretty cool – all because of beer.”
If you didn’t already know, Brewed & Bottled features a rotating series of beers on tap as well as countless bottles to purchase to go or enjoy at the shop out on their welcoming patio that faces Center St. Yes, you can drink beer while you shop for more beer. B&B even has a bottle chiller so you can literally enjoy anything they have ice cold in only a matter of minutes.
And as for events, Budde says that the hits are going to keep on coming at Brewed & Bottled, adding that there is still more room to grow, which can only mean very good things for all of us craft beer consumers in the (hopefully very near) future.
“Things have been awesome and we’re excited to keep growing and adding new things to do/taste. We have plans to roll out small plates including cheese plates and flat bread pizzas going into the colder months. We’re also looking to utilize our Dogfish Randall more often.”
